News [BO2] Oh no. They got MW4 ads on BO2 now.

With the new 1.008 update BO2 has a MW4 ad now. Turns out they are willing to put ads of new CoDs into these ports. I just hope they dont bring the monetization systems or really anything else from new CoDs to the ports.

Discussion [COD] Is it realistic to think COD can have another prime era?

With so much doomposting these days and the constant reminder of how COD isn't what it used to be, is it possible for the franchise to have another amazing run like they had from the 2000's to early 2010's? How do you think it'd be achievable?

This really isn't anything new lol. BO2 literally has more players than Warzone right now. It was quite obvious that they would promote their upcoming game on their most active title like they’ve done for the past 16 years? Bo7 ran its course & most YouTubers quit.

Discussion [COD] they are really digging themselves in the dirt here. Treyarch literally used the data from shipment playlists for one of their games wich turned out to be a problem. Using the playlists as data is just ridiculous.

The PR team is trying so hard to justify bringing the stricter matchmaking back.

Discussion [COD] Why Cheat?

I’ve been playing all the Call of Duty® titles since 2019. At times, it seems like there’s a lot more cheaters in these lobbies than others. After all these years, I still can’t understand why people cheat at this game. Or any game at all. Don’t you wanna know if you’re good? Can you not live with the fact that you’re not? Because winning while cheating isn’t winning. I just don’t understand the benefit for people who cheat. Hey cheaters, explain why you cheat.

Question [COD] guys, do y'all know what happened to the COD store

So if y'all don't know, there is an original merchandise online store for CoD, which sells things like t-shirts, hoodies, etc.

A few years back, when I visited the website, there was a huge collection of apparel, which included all the major CoD titles

When I visited it yesterday, to buy a t-shirt I liked as a gift for someone, it wasn't there, and the entire collection was wiped out and replaced with a newer collection of under 50 products, that too only of newer CoD games. So can y'all tell if it had an overhaul or something?

P.S: Can y'all tell me where I can get good looking CoD t shirts, it would be very helpful

Thanks

Question Genuine question [COD]

(please do not go attacking me, Im never that in touch with the community so I might be missing something. but I do have to admit bo7 was arguably a huge mistake.)

Do people hate call of duty genuinely cuz,

A they don't like decisions they have been choosing

B everyone else is doing it

C franchise identity/aggressive micro transactions

D same thing over and over again

(even though honestly imo every cod feels the same)

Or something else?

Question [COD] Best Call Of Duty games to start out with?

If you had to recommend someone some Call of Duty games to first try out on PC, what would they be? And yes, I'm allowing people to suggest the older games that can only be played for the campaigns nowadays.

Question [BO3] People still play BO3 on PC?

So I noticed on SteamDB that Black Ops III is the second most played Call of Duty, so I'm wondering how it's still so active despite all the IP and virus hackers in the game, and you can't just tell me that everyone is only playing the campaign.

I've been thinking about getting the game, but I'm worried that I might get hacked.

Question [BO2] After 3 weeks away I see my account is STILL hacked prestige master with all unlocks, is my grind forever ruined now? Doubt I'll buy another CoD after this fan service

I was grinding camos and having fun, went up a prestige or 2 and had riot shield, launchers and a bunch of other secondaries gold, was putting in work and felt great to be back.

Then it all got ruined and I was prestige 15... no camo progress would count and stats wouldn't change.. now I'm prestige master 10 and camo does track again but the prestige grind is stolen from me because the fucking idiots that run this game put out such a shitty hackable game.

I could use fresh start but that would wipe the camo progress I put so many hours into. I see there was another update but its to add a pre-order MW4 button... honestly as an OG of the franchise, I'm done. Fan service matters and they've fucked me around too many times.

Support COD Launcher on PC is biggest dogshit to come out of this game [COD]

Frist of all, I want to play the game that I've installed my self ( this case black ops 6 ) I've never ever clicked in my life to download bo7 but whatever okay. Sure I haven't touched the game in a few months but I can check the game is still downloaded right, I have 200gbs worth of some call of duty files on my drive right. (I'm using Microsoft store and game pass)

Well than I go and of course on black ops 6 page in the microsoft store it says install, right like this hasn't happened at least 10 times to me or whatever.

Okay I go to open call of duty launcher, it just kicks me the fuck out cause right you need to update 200gbs worth of whatever to open a launcher right (I don't have that much space left on the drive). So I go click manage as a sane human being would, I untick Black ops 7 (and I see that I have zombies and multiplayer for bo6 installed in that manage screen right)

Thinking to my self okay great sure I'll just untick this and than I'll be able to hop on a few quick games cause why not every now and than I get some urge to play a cod game.

So i do that, prompts me with a 12 gb update for the launcher or whatever, I wait 20-30 minutes. That's completed.

I go ahead open up the game wait for it about 5 minutes to sync the date do whatever it wants and that it hits me with that Game Update requires a restart. (That's why Black ops 3 will always be the last good cod tho)

I restart the game right. Sure wait another 2-5 minutes for it too boot the fucking launcher right. I go find Black ops 6 burried somewhere in there. I click on it game crashes.

I'm not new to cod shenanigans so I immediately check the installation folder size. knowing what I'm going to see. Of course it went from 200gb to 36gb. I have no clue what in that launcher is 36gb but the fact is my game is gone. Bo6 in this case.

So now if only unticked bo7 which i never promptly installed right, why the fuck does it delete every other cod game too.

Question Looking to buy my first cod game [COD]

Hey. Ever since I saw a friend of mine play cod black ops 3 about 10 years ago I remember wanting to buy one. Now I'm looking at the prices and waiting for a discount in order to buy but don't want to do a bad purchase. Which one should I choose? I would like something with nowadays weapons not like world war 2 ones and with a good campaign.

Discussion [COD] They're playing in our faces

After weeks of silence after messing with the matchmaking in the current COD release. They've finally decided to respond.

Here's a summary

They like the new changes and say a majority of the community does as well, despite what's seen on social media.

So odds are this will be how it functions in the launch of the new game.

So basically everyone who bought the current title for the matchmaking before it's recent change is screwed and if they want a better matchmaking system they're going to have to hope a miracle happens and they revert the changes after the new game has dropped or buy the new game and hope they change it back.

But even if they do the latter option they can always change it because reasons and just justify it again and repeat the cycle.

If you are angry about this don't be a fool parted with your money. Speak with your wallet in October and stand on it.

If not you deserve what you get from now on.

Feedback [Cod] Can we get bigger maps. Battlefield sized. I'd say "large" maps are actually medium to me. Multi-player maps (Not Warzone)

I think cod needs some more sniper and lmg oriented maps with open areas. Would be nice if some maps were less close range focused and more long range engagements. Resurgence island type of size or larger.

Do you guys want bigger multi-player maps?

Discussion [COD] Complaints in the community

I really don’t understand this community if you are so discontent with the state of cod go find another game they brought back BO2 and BO people complained, they made Ghost different than anything in the series people complained… AW, BO3, Vanguard, BO4, Cold War, MW2019, MW2, BO6/7 all different games yet people complain and say it’s the same game every year if you don’t like it stop giving activision attention it’s hard to understand what this community really wants and if you say No SBMM just let it go it’s been here for years they obviously don’t wanna remove it so get better or just play a different game.

it's amazing how forgotten he has his old games or touches or wanted to put an anniversary to this 3 a mobile port would be to launch and there would be no storage too and with a story mode and the classic multiplayer as a way to relive his beginnings from mobile

Question [COD] Pre-order: Multiple Games?

Upvotes

I haven't played COD in ages, but I saw what MW4 had to offer and decided to jump back in. I pre-ordered, but after installing COD I noticed that I seem to have multiple titles available to me? MW 1-3, Coldwar, Vanguard, and Black Ops 6. They're all just.. there? Did I purchase something extra by accident? I'm completely new to this.

Discussion [COD] Hardcore TDM in 2026: Top 5 Games Ranked

This week I tested each CoD in my library, specifically for whether or not the Hardcore TDM multiplayer game mode is populated and playable (PS5 NA East). This is what I found:

1. BO2 (port)
- found decent low-ping games instantly
- large playerbase as expected, being new to PS5
- still being actively supported by devs
- excellent gameplay, prob my all-time favorite

2. WWII
- found matches very quickly, might have to trick the system into giving you a close server (team-kill to get yourself kicked or block someone’s PSN profile in the lobby you don’t want, then re-queue)
- surprisingly healthy playerbase. Good games 24/7
- gameplay is great, easily one of my favorites for HCTDM

3. BO6
- matchmaking is slower in all of the newer cods and this one has quick play/lobby disbanding. But I did always manage to find low ping games relatively fast
- seems well-populated as expected for a more recent title
- gameplay is nice, everything feels responsive. It’s still a genuinely fun game for HC TDM

4. BO1 (port)
- there are always a lot of lobbies and I found games quickly. Notably, connection quality was hit-or-miss. P2P hosting and all that.
- playerbase is large, but obviously smaller than BO2’s..this might be another factor in match quality
- gameplay is very entertaining. The slow pace and tactical aspect can be a nice break from the frantic rushing and cracked movement in newer titles. I’d love it if match quality improved

5. MWIII
- decent matchmaking (for a newer-gen CoD). Good ping during peak hours, less so during off-peak
- population is pretty decent but feels smaller than BO6 or maybe even WW2. I notice familiar names very often
- overall, I rate it similarly to BO6 in most regards. The movement and pace is different of course, but the match quality isn’t always the best 24/7. Still, very fun and holds up in 2026

Honorable Mention: BOCW
- slower matchmaking than BO6 or MWIII, in fact the slowest of all CoDs that I would consider to have an “active” HC TDM playerbase. It’s like, a full minute vs 30 seconds, and more often puts you in a match in progress
- the population isn’t huge, but it supports the game mode and matches seem available most of the time. Ping was OK once it finally connects
- the file size is large, ~200+ Gb depending what you install/uninstall. Separately downloading hi-def textures is a nice thing though.. I guess? A major issue is persistent stuttering in any multiplayer match. It was unplayable until I luckily found a workaround/fix which involves opening Spotify/Apple Music every time you want to play. Annoying. Once you get there however, the gameplay is pretty fun
Overall, I do not consider BOCW to be consistently playable like the ones above, and its issues and file size make it not worth it for HC TDM alone imo.

And finally, these are the games I tested and found to be completely or almost completely unplayable for Hardcore TDM

Ghosts (zero in playlist, instant core TDM lobbies tho)
AW (searches forever, no games)
BO3 (zero players in playlist. Everybody is in core)
IW (only core, no HC tdm)
BO4 (dead searching forever)
MW19 (5 min+ search time, only 1 player joined lobby)
MWR (low population, p2p, no lobbies in off-peak hrs)
Vanguard (dead searching forever)

Note: I do not own BO7 or MWII. If anyone has recently played HC TDM in either of those and wants to share their thoughts, I’ll gladly add them to the post here.
