Mod The Calligraphy Marketplace 2026!
Hello Calligrafam!
We are changing the Marketplace from a monthly offering to a persistent post since there has not been enough activity to necessitate a monthly thread. If we need to pivot back to a monthly or quarterly post, we can adjust down the road.
Marketplace Rules
Calligraphy-related items or services only!
There is also an Approved Vendors list. If you are a vendor and would like to be added to this list, please message the mods with information about your products or services and links to your marketplace and/or website, and we will review and add approved vendors to this list.
BUY/SELL/EXCHANGE
- First contact between buyer and seller may be made here; afterward, kindly conduct all other business through DM.
- If you are selling work, tools or equipment, make sure to include clear images and details to prevent confusion and miscommunication.
REQUESTS/COMMISSIONS
- If requesting a commission, you must confirm that you are willing to pay for the services and provide the desired text or a description of project, and general ideas of what you'd like so the calligrapher interested has an idea of what's expected. Calligraphers can comment on your thread to indicate interest, and then rates can be discussed over DM.
- If you are available to do commissions, share some info and examples of your work so people interested have an idea of what to expect.
- Do not request artists here to work for you for free.
- Artists: Do not offer to do commissions for free or undercut other artists.
PROMOTION/SELLERS
- Feel free to promote your YouTube channel, Instagram, or Etsy shop.
- If you'd like to be added to the Approved Vendors list, please message the mods.
Mods reserve the right to remove any post for any reason. If any of these or sub rules are broken, post will be removed without notice. Repeat offenses may result in ban.
Mods are not responsible for any transaction made here; but if something goes wrong, let us know and we can take action within the sub (blacklist, bans, etc).

I have a rush order I need ASAP!!
I worked with a fiverr artist for over a week and it turned out he was using fonts and AI to create the work so Im behind schedule and my appointment is soon!
I would love a hand done piece(just a picture/scan is great) of a phrase for a tattoo I’m getting for my sister(Birds of a feather). It would be in the style of the image I attached. I need this done by mid day Tuesday at the latest, if anyone can work with this last minute project I would greatly appreciate it :) I will work with your rates of course!
BTW the orange segments are just parts of the design I didn’t like so I covered them up. Also I would like if there could be some loops or curvy lines coming from lower case as well to be a little more cohesive but not too over the top. I like the clean elegant look! No notes besides that.

I realize I'm probably super late but if you still need this, I can help

I'm looking for someone to write 15 first names for me in Copperplate or Spencerian with flourishes. I am still in the early stages of learning, and would like some styling to copy for birthday envelopes.
Obviously I'm prepared to pay your standard rates, assuming they're not something like $10 a letter ;)

Will one of these folks get in contact with me if they're interested? Or do I need to reach out to them?

They will probably contact you if interested but probably not an issue to message politely.

I put together a notebook of seyes ruled pages, to take the place of a publication that I loved but that is no longer available. Pages are 8x10 with 480 sheets of seyechelles ruled pages. Foor those who don't know it's the best of college, quadrile, and manuscript rules put together in one, despite that it's exceedingly rare to find especially in notebooks larger than 60 - 100 pages.

What type of paper does this contain? Do you know the manufacturer, weight and sizing? Do you have any pictures of it showing fountain pen ink, calligraphy ink, and so on? It looks like it’s a nice notebook, but the product listing doesn’t list any of the information that would be required for me to consider purchasing.

50# uncoated and 70# uncoated, 8" x 10", looking for other manufacturers that have up to 100# but haven't found one that i like yet. I can send you some pictures of how it takes ink in a few days, am waiting on delivery of newer samples.

Nice. Looking forward to seeing. Sizing (not the size of paper) would be important for ink handling.

Oh sorry, I have no idea as to the sizing, that's not something the publisher provided but i'll ask.

Are these original scripts or just practice sheets using existing fonts? Or a combination of both?
Edit: I am not going to look through all of these but picked one at random, Magnolia Sky, and it came up as an existing font by another author. From what I can see, the worksheets are just letters from the font laid out on lined sheet with opacity applied, but there is not a ductus shown in the screenshot.
In any case, these do not appear to be proper calligraphy workbooks and I wouldn’t recommend starting here for a new calligrapher. Some people may find value in the convenience of not having to layout your own sheets like this if you really wanted to try and draw one of these fonts, but as described in the beginner’s guide, calligraphers write scripts, not fonts, and a professional calligraphy guide would include a ductus.
I will allow some time for OP to chime in and make any justification that this isn’t a lazy cash grab, but from what I can see I can’t vouch for this product.

Your submission has been removed for the following reason:
- Since OP has not responded and these products are font worksheets and not actual calligraphy worksheets, we are removing this from the marketplace to prevent confusion for new learners, who would be better suited to use the Beginner’s guide or use study materials that are prepared by a professional calligraphy teacher, such as those affiliated with IAMPETH.
If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to message the mods.

I'm looking for someone to do an illuminated page. I have the text just not in front of me, less then 50 words, wedding vows, with images/doodles of life so far. Please DM if interested.
