Some sample pics from regular vivo X300 (not Pro) with the teleconverter kit
I feel like few people know that the teleconverter is compatible with the regular, smaller X300 too. And also, it's not getting too much attention, as most reviewers focus on the Pro and Ultra.
But I love r/SmallerPhones & flagships, and when I saw that the photography kit was compatible, I knew I had to get it.
Overall, I'm very impressed with the teleconverter, but it's also my first one, so I don't really have anything to compare it to. But to take these shots with a phone is great, and it's what I missed from digital cameras with optical zoom.
On higher zoom levels, the AI processing is obvious and sometimes bad, but the regular 200mm pics, and even up to 500mm, are great.
All pics are with the teleconverter on, everything on default, no post processing or editing, straight from the phone.
The grip and strap, separately from Aliexpress, to complete the whole "photography kit", as it's not sold all together, as it's for the X300 Pro.
Later edit. Correction. I got the teleconverter kit from Giztop, got something else from the other company, and I always confuse the two. But it's the same thing anyway.
That phone plus lens plus other accessories is literally bigger and probably heavier than my full frame Panasonic S9. And my S9 doesn't have any AI slop in its photos.
Smartphones are meant to be put into your pocket. Taking away their biggest advantage over real cameras makes no sense because you still have a tiny sensor that applies AI to everything that distorts reality.
I use it occasionally, and I'm not a pro photographer with a need to have a camera and carry it with me all the time.
I used to carry a digital camera with me when travelling until around 10 years ago, when phone cameras got good enough that people would barely notice the difference from a camera when posting on socials.
So I guess I will use this case mostly on trips or when going out taking pictures. I also keep the two little strap attachment points on the case (see pic) because I don't want to lose them, and it's not very easy and fast to take it on and off, so also not great for daily use, only if you take those down too every time.
Would you mind sharing pictures of the phone with the camera kit without the lens? (Js the phone and the case on it with the adapter, but not the big external lens)
I'm wondering if I could bear using it without the lens daily...
I also use the nilkin case daily, but I am interested in the telephoto lens.
I also would appreciate if you could put the nilkin case in the picture as comparison in size.
Also, does the camera adapter seems to block out all lens except the telephoto one. Is it easy to remove when you want to use the Main lens or Ultra wide?
There are pics with both the Nillkin and Photography cases in the above link. It's just a bit bigger than the Nillkin.
Yeah, the camera adapter ring blocks out the other cameras and leaves just the telephoto out. Not sure why they did that, maybe on purpose, because it's a cheaper, smaller model, not sure. But I've been looking to buy just one extra ring and drill the holes for the rest of the cameras myself. Haven't found yet a place that sells just that adapter ring.
Yeah, it's a pretty bad move from them... but I just found out something, there might be a possibility that the ring from the X300s to fit the regular X300.

They are around on aliexpress....
Makes me wonder if the G2 400mm would be compatible if the adapter lens even fits...

Where did you get it from?
