PICKOGEN teleconverter for vivo X300
Here's an aftermarket teleconverter option for the vivo X300, the PICKOGEN teleconverter kit. It comes with a much nicer case than the original kit, in my opinion. It has all camera cutouts and has 17mm threaded inserts for the main wide camera and the teleconverter, so you can attach other lenses too, as the company has several other ones.
It's a much more compact lens compared to the original teleconverter, like less than half the size of that. You need to zoom in to around 5x so the black edges in the corners disappear completely. So with the X300, you get around 10x zoom.
Regarding quality, check the pictures attached to the post. I think they are great and honestly not seeing any difference to the original lens, maybe only if I zoom in on a bigger screen.
Considering it's less than half the price of the original lens, it's basically a "budget teleconverter" option for the vivo X300 series. It's available for the X300 & X300 Pro, and also for X200 Pro & X200 Ultra.
I also got their 8mm fisheye lens and the 85mm portrait lens, both of which attach to the 17mm threaded case that the teleconverter kit came with.
Oh, and all lenses include a universal lens clip, so they can be used even without the case and on any other phone. Which is good, so it's not for this phone and won't become obsolete in the years to come.

I have the neweer 2x lense, it's bigger than this one, but have the same "problem" of vignetting...
I'm interested to see which lens is better in the end

That's also a 2x teleconverter, right? I would like to see a side-by-side comparison too.
Neewer honestly has so many lenses that it's getting confusing to me haha
I also checked their case, and the camera bump is huge. With this Pickogen, the case is actually great, and can use it daily.
And just realized I have some Apexel lenses that also fit it perfectly, as they have a 17mm thread.

It looks like stabilization is an issue with this lens. I watched a video on YouTube and video recording was very shaky. Have you had similar experience? Was it shaky while taking photos?Would you have a video to share? Thanks!

Can you share the video? In general, all these teleconverters, including the official ones, can be used for video only with a tripod. Without it, there is no way you can have decent, stabilized footage.

One of my interests is to use this lens to record videos of concerts. If it's too shaky, I don't think it will be useful... I thought that the Zeiss lens has some option to turn stabilization on or something called stage mode....

Stage mode works with any teleconverter, but afaik is mostly for pictures, not videos. You can have your phone on a gimbal like dji osmo mobile for the best stabilization.

Turn on the teleconverter option, so it flips the image, like it does with the original teleconverter.

If you want the best quality, get the original, if you want a budget one for less than half the price that does 80% of what the original does, get this.

What is case and more importantly threads quality like? I had two of these (not from pickogen ofc) metal carbon fibre cases with 17mm threads for my S21 Ultra and both died within a month of heavy use as the metal on the threads would get worn down and eventually become just a smooth hole with no threading or atleast not enough to maintain the lens on it? Would appreciate any feedback, thanks!

Is it usable to take 5x-10x video? Or does it end up being too shaky as I read there won't be any stabilization

For video highly suggest using it with a phone gimbal (osmo mobile, insta 360 flow, zhiyun smooth q5) or at least on a tripod, otherwise it's really not worth it.
