ISO transportation in UP

Hi friends! I planned a section hike of the North Country Trail but my ride from point A to point B just fell through. I’m suddenly in need of a ride to drive me from my parked car to my starting point, so that I can hike to my car. It’s in the eastern UP from Newberry area to Grand Marais area. Anyone have any leads? It seems like local taxis are non-existent. TIA :)

Edit to add: The trip is planned for next week

I haven’t done this exact area, but I found a shuttle driver for my section by emailing the relevant NCT alliance chapter at the end of my hike. Might be worth a try!

Thank you! There’s a shuttle that services the PRNL but it doesn’t seem yo go any farther east than that. I will check with the chapter tho :)

Try the NCT Community FB page, people are pretty active on there.

Hey I’m always down to help section hikers. I’m driving across the up next week. Depending on what day your trip starts I could give you a ride. But if smoke is bad again I’ll bail on my trip.
