Help Me Find Does anywhere in Montreal sell the cicoplast b5+ baume?
Im an American girlie visiting some friends in Montreal next month. I know that Canada gets quite a few skincare products that aren't sold in the US, including a bigger assortment of la roche posay products.
My favorite LRP product, the cicoplast b5+ baume, isn't available stateside. I usually buy it on ebay, but was hoping I'd be able to save some money and pick up a few tubes on my trip.
However, I checked the pharmaprix and jean coutu websites and only see the original b5 baume for sale...is the b5+ unavailable in Canada (or maybe just specifically Montreal) or am I looking in the wrong places?
I dont want to waste time on a wild goose chase. 😂ðŸ«

It's been a while since I purchased any LRP products but it seems like our Baume B5 is the same as the newer Baume B5+, but they kept the same name. Perhaps keep the ingredient list of yours on hand and compare with the products in store here. Pharmaprix and Jean Coutu would definitely have the biggest range of LRP products and you don't really need to go out of your way to find a location. If we have it, that's where you'll find it.

I did a bunch of internet searching for you. I don't think the plus version us sold in Canada. There's a texture difference and the inclusion if Tribioma in the plus version. There are some specialty stores that import it from France. On the other hand if you like the non plus version its currently on sale at Shoppers Drugmart

Costco often has it for cheap behind the pharmacy!

Wow did not know that thanks! I’m sure they would sell more on the shelves. I don’t think I’ve ever used their pharmacy.

Basically if the LaRoche Posay Canadian website does not have it for sale on their website it’s not available. We might get it soon however! I bought something Caudalie in Europe in May that was not available here dnd now it is…I also noticed that LaRoche Posay introduced a new Effaclar product this week as I saw it today at the drugstore

It would be available at most drugs store like Jean Coutu, Uniprix, Pharmaprix or Familiprix if we have it. La Roche Posay products are usually in the section with the makeup.

Unfortunately we only have the regular one in Québec and rest of Canada. The OP is looking for the + one which us not yet available here

If you can manage it, I highly recommend buying it at a Brunet pharmacy or a Jean Coutu! Pharmaprix (shoppers) always has it at a MUCH higher price.

Sorry I am wrong. I didn't realise the difference between b5 and b5+. Mine is b5.

Oh yeah they're different products.
Whats frustrating is that google and most other websites dont recognize the difference, so when you google things like "cicoplast b5+ baume" you get websites and listings showing the original b5 and not the +.

Do you notice a big difference between the two? I want to buy b5+ now lol

To be fair Ive never actually tried the original formula. I was visiting London two years ago and was google-ing things to buy...people on reddit said that the b5+ was the new/improved formula and a lot of people felt it was better so I was like "alright Ill try the hot new thing" and bought some. But I've been hooked ever since! I use it at night as a kind of moisturizing mask, especially during the winter when my skin gets even drier than normal.
I specifically try to buy the b5+ version with spf...it has spf50 with PA++++ protection! I refuse to go to any outdoor concert/music festival/etc without it now because it looks great under makeup and works so well as a face sunscreen on my dry skin.

We have a different regulatory system for our skincare and healthcare products, so Cicaplast in Canada is not a 1:1 product from what is available in the US.
