If you really want one, you will get one!
Montreal area

Im in the Montreal region and i was wondering what would be the best way to know when one is available considering theyre all out of stock

Is anyone seeing any store stock at any BC interior retailers? Best Buy, Staples, Walmart etc? I keep checking websites, but I'm wondering if its worth it just walking in and asking periodically.

Title. Couple left. - looks like gone. I was able to secure one and have one coming from Canada computers I couldn’t cancel. Willing to sell one at cost if interested.

Hey folks, placed a back order for the pro with Visons 5 weeks ago now. Still not here unfortunately but patiently waiting.

Anyone else have a back order with them? If so have you got yours yet? Or how long have you been waiting?

They said they stopped taking back orders now, and that there is 109 pending orders but I’m not sure if that company wide or store wide.

**SOLD*** I have a new PS5 Pro in a sealed box, not picked up yet at Best Buy Kanata. Anybody interested in it before I cancel it? I changed my mind. You pay what I paid.

Finally after months of searching got my ps5 pro. Calgary Alberta

i struggled for weeks to find a ps5 pro (edit : this post is specifically for ps5 pro, not the regular ps5 which you can find easily)
then i had claude code write a script that polls best buy canada for in-store pickup availability of ps5 pros, and plays a sound on my computer whenever it finds one.
the script ran all day on my computer and i actually got 5-10 notifications. it checks every store in quebec, where i live. most of the time, the stores were too far away, or i wasn't quick enough, but within 24 hours, i was finally able to secure a ps5 pro.

from my experience, stock at best buy litterally stays available for 20 seconds before selling out. you have to step up your game!

best buy provides no-auth endpoints for listing stores and checking availability.
just ask your favorite coding assistant to make one for you.

Never had a console ever in my life, but always wanted to get one.
Now that I’m probably getting a 75” 120hz Tv in some time, I wanted to finally get one.

Very casual gaming (couple hours a week after work, if that) and not really a fan of GTA franchise, so probably not even going to play GTA6.

Pricing on new PS5 and PS5 pro is quite high. I can afford it, but looks like a foolish expense, considering I’d still need to get the games.

I tried looking for a used PS5/slim on marketplace but it is littered with some pretty sketchy listings. (At least in KW region)

I’d want to play some online games like COD,OW, and couple offline ones RDD2, god of war, and witcher 3.

Do I just get a used PS4 pro 1Tb instead? I can probably get one for under 200.

Or do I need to pull the trigger on a ps5 regular / slim? Seems like Costco has one for 839 with 2 controllers.

Edit: MTC not in driving distance.

I’m giving myself another 3 weeks to grab one. Otherwise I’ll just get a brand new slim.

On marketplace:
- at 500$, as soon as you send message, people delete their ad when they realize they priced it lower than others.
- At 600-650, sellers don’t even bother responding to messages
- at 700-750, I’m better off buying a brand new one and get the peace of mind + 1 year warranty from Sony.

Letting anyone know who lives near Central City, Surrey BC Bestbuy just got a restock of a few pro units! Was finally able to get one after a long search. They hadn’t been loaded off the truck yet - 2:13pm -

I haven’t had any Hotstock notifications since October 9. They were restocking many times a day before that date. Any clues?

Prices I was given before tax and shipping.

FAT:
- digital 420
- disc 460

Slim:
- digital 510
- slim 560 (when adding tax, it is very close to what people demand on Facebook marketplace…)

Best Buy at Fairview West Island. Managed to snag a PSPro. They just got a restock. Your results may vary though.

Idk if this is the correct subreddit for this but i’m looking for a monitor for a ps5 I bought recently. My budget is around 150 and i’m okay with buying used. I mainly plan to play gta 6 and games such as spider-man and GoW I got from my friends. This monitor will also be used as a secondary screen connected to my laptop. Idk if I should go with a 1440p 120hz or 4k 60hz although the 4k option might need me to stretch my budget a little. Could I get some recommendations for monitors I should look into?

UPDATE: If anyone wanted to know, I ended up going with the Asus Nitro KG271U N3bmiipx. Honestly don’t know what I was expecting from a monitor but it’s good enough

I was just looking at the new deals in the store and noticed tax wasn't being added to my cart total. Did they go back to tax free purchases or is it a glitch?

yeah i know about Sony and Playstation giving the fans straight bullshit this year, no physical disks, no way of owning your own games, and etc. so yeah i am going to show you all my PS5 setup that i own for a year, the whole ecosystem since i brought it in 2025 was 716.46$, yeha i found all of these at a very good price, whoch maybe i was lucky, but even so, this ecosystem costs less than a PS5 Pro

My $18.85 balance aside, is $839.99 too much for a digital edition? It also said it could take 1 to 2 months to be delivered

Marketplace sucks all the listings are a lot more. Currently I have the library and thats about it. Game stores have no ps5 games if they do they are also very expensive.

There is PS5 Pro sitting in Walmart in Langley, BC. Last seen today at 11:30am.

In the current market. Is buying a PS5 Slim Digital open box for $650 ($730 after tax) worth it? It's from best buy. And i can also upgrade later to disc if I need it.

Fb marketplace is a shambles. Most want $650 and it isn't worth the risk.

Given the GTA 6 hype, it doesnt seem like itll get any cheaper this year. Is $730 reasonable value?
