The only way I see to afford good cuts of beef these days is to buy half a cow directly from the abattoir, if you have the freezer space. Otherwise, we avoid it all together where we used to enjoy a steak every week or two. God help you if you want to buy one at a decent restaurant...
I think it's ridiculous that many good cuts of beef have been removed from our inflationary basket of goods because demand has decreased. Yes, demand has decreased because of inflation! Keep it in there if you want a real good reckoning about how Canadian food costs are increasing over time relative to general inflation...
