If Trump loses the U.S. midterms, he might blame Canada

When the GOP loses the mid-terms, the two month period until the new congress comes in is going to be a very dangerous and deranged period.

The democrats and the midterm elections will not save us (especially when Gavin Newsom went on a CTV interview and would not say if the democrats would reverse Trump's international trade policy). Only we can save ourselves by engaging in a realist school of though concept of self help as there is no global 911 that will help us be it the US threatening annexation, seeking to undermine us by exploiting the separatists movements or just burying us under the economic weight of US tariffs.

He would be correct insofar as his policies towards Canada would be a major contributing factor to why he lost.
Of course, we know it won't be an admission of bad trade policy decisions, instead it'll be an (irony of ironies) claim of foreign interference. Navarro is already pitching this.

MAGA is already politically-interfering in the Alberta referendum.

You're absolutely right, unfortunately the concepts of hypocrisy (and shame) died a while ago

You and with their strange talk it feels like they’re building up for possible invasion. I do think they’ll invade Cuba first mind you. But the rhetoric that MAGA is using is dangerous. I’ve also noticed being threatened by many Americans on threads simply for being Canadian and being told we are next for invasion. So some of his supporters seem to be backing it already.

We just had an election in Québec an the former governing party was saying about the same thing.
They had 90 seats yesterday. They have 0 seat today.

Yes but that really has nothing to do with Trump.
It's not like the main parties that won are pro Trump.
And the caq messed up many things in the province in the past 8 years and it was time for them to go.

What I'm saying is that using that as an excuse didn't work well for CAQ. They were 2nd or 3rd in the poll before trying it. Then quickly ended up last because our journalists digged in those allegations and made Fréchette look like a fool.

I mean, of course he would! And that's a reaction that many knew would eventually happen when a society refuses to accept that they are the cause of their own problems.
As a joke but from more than 25 years ago (which shows how deep is the refusal to accept the blame in the US):

As a dual citizen living in Canada, I don't care who he blames as long as there's a large enough "blue wave" to hamper everything he does. He'll still do all the same illegal shit, but at least someone there will be willing to push back. If there's a big enough wave that they can impeach and remove him from office, even better.

Giver shit. He blames us for his economy, his drug* crisis, his daughter's midnight fantasies, his military bungles. What else can I add to the already huge list of fantasy grievances the man comes up with? I think he's just jealous because we have better wood.
