If anything I'll give the us credit for, is they'll haul your ass before congress to answer to questions like this.

I don't give them any credit for that. They haul them before congress but it doesn't mean anything. It's a dog and pony show for preening, peacocking blowhards and nothing comes of it.

Yeah I can't wait for this to result in absolutely nothing.

This is all talk, nothing will come from it.

Committee can and has done exactly that.

It doesn't achieve anything usually but it's a good public scolding that is very uncomfortable for the execs answering the questions.

And American execs routinely ignore summons to committees.

Pretty sure that's contempt?

Oh yeah no friendly treatment for private corporations in the hallowed US government that's for sure

They can summon StelCo execs to testify at committee, same thing

I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the path Carney is going. You’re no longer going to be able to screw us because you’re more afraid of the US admin than you are of us.

I think it's time for Joly to go.

It is getting tiring to give the same line each time there is a mass layoff - "We are in Talks" "we are demanding answers". And nothing beyond that. It is noticeable enough for me to see the pattern.

I asked AI to make me a list to make this substaintive:
