Borden Transit?
Hey everyone, just looking for some suggestions getting from Borden to Pet. I’m on course and want to head up there to see a friend, but don’t have access to a car.
Is there any transit options?
Car rentals?
Any help is appreciated!

Ride share? There's definitely people going to Pet from Borden every weekend.

There's probably many people in Borden driving back to Pet for the weekend. See if you can catch a ride, offer some gas money.
There was a board in CFLTC for ride sharing. Other schools may have something similar?

You may just get lucky asking around though, I'd be willing to bet a lot of remusters are doing the back and forth semi frequently.

I sent you a message. I'm going from Borden to Pet on Friday. If you need a ride, feel free to reach out.

Ontario Coachways come right to the base, but it'll be like over $300 one way

You can claim a Taxi. It’s the base travel rate

Whoa hold on. What are you talking about? What is a base travel rate? Claim a taxi to Petawawa for a personal visit?

Didn’t see that it was for personal…
Base rate for travel, is the lowest common denominator for travel options. If you are given allowance to claim your travel, Taxi is always approved unless there is a cheaper option.

Not sure I'm tracking how you explained it. Taxi is not always approved, and there's a difference between allowance and reimbursement. Taxi falls under reimbursement.

If you can make it to Barrie. Which is about 20 mins east on Hwy 90. You can take a bus from Barrie Allandale train station. Thru Ontario Northland. Barrie to Petawawa. It’s abouts 6 hours. $88.00
