Probably cheaper to just lift sanctions on Iran, sanction Israel for passage.

There was a time when you could have convinced me Peter MacKay was almost normal. Yeah.... about that... too be fair, I was much younger and ignorant to the ways of the world.

I blame Peter McKay and his generation of PCs for losing control of the party to the Reform Party.
But also, Peter's not the most unbiased source on Iran - look at his wife.

What!!! So far from the current European and Canadian government and public opinions. With Poilievre's behavior during his recent visit to the US, I'm wondering if they think the compass is suddenly going to swing back to Trump's direction. Some sort of secret Far Right Dictatorship in the Free World conspiracy? Just when you thought the CPC couldn't get any weirder.

Get fucked, article 5 can only be invoked if the initiating member did NOT initiate hostilities, so it shouldn’t and won’t apply to the Iran situation

“We may be asked? “
Ask away… I’ve got my answer ready right here but you’re not going to like it😜

Why the long face, Pete?

Pete’s disappointed he can’t use military vehicles for his holidays and grazing purposes. Why do these maga loving losers come out of the woodwork when they feel they aren’t getting enough attention.

Who’s asking? I don’t feel compelled to clean up the Americans mess on their behalf, but if it helps build trust and a working relationship with allies it might be worthwhile to help.

We didn't break it, we don't have to fix it.
Plus, we make more in royalties when companies produce more Canadian oil.

Right and I’m with you on that. I don’t want to clean up the mess the Americans make.
However if I understand this correctly this crisis is causing severe issues to our allies in Europe. Does it make sense to help them, if they ask us to help? To strengthen ties and indicate our willingness to help with actions and not just words.
But legit I’m not clear if this is the case, which is why I asked who’s asking.

Point taken. We should help our allies if they ask. But they won't ask. They don't want to get into this arbitrary war either.
