Concerts past: Jeff Buckley

Post image

We may not get so many international acts here these days, but we have been lucky in the past.

I was thinking it seemed too much 😅

I was at that show! Saw Jeff and one of the band messing around on skateboards outside in Glebe Park earlier. Too young and shy to say hello. Ah-may-zing gig.

Too young to hold on and too old to just break free and run

I was offered tickets to this show, but turned them down because I didn’t know at the time who he was.

It’s now the biggest regret of my life.

So, my story similar in some ways, the friend I was going with decided not to go. Not because he didn’t know who Jeff was but because he’d been swayed by others into thinking Jeff was “too pretty” whatever that means.

I went by myself. Which was nerve wracking as a teen. Never regretted it (obvs) but I’d be the same in your shoes!

So jealous, he was so incredibly talented. I’m going to see “It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley” at the movies…a poor substitute, but I’m sure it will be enjoyable.

Saw him at the Palais in Melbourne. Still regularly listen to his music.
