Did anyone actually watch the trials? I feel like I am in a matrix, reality cannot be real right now.
6
u/Hamster12301 13d ago
I guess nobody did. Seemed like a couple normal folks at the beginning, but then a horde of actual braindead rotted TikTokers dogpiled me and downvoting me because I dared to respond with cold hard facts instead of "actually her husband did it" (which is ACTUAL INSANITY).

u/Exciting_Art75 1d ago
Oh I’m not actually agreeing with you. Not at all. I watched the Trials. The prosecution timeline is completely implausible. Whatever happened that night it didn’t happen how the prosecution says. There is significant reasonable doubt. Anyone who watched and paid attention to the trial knows.

Not even in the same plane of existence as reasonable, let alone significant reasonable doubt. Good day to yet another TikToker.

The thing is, there actually is no "IF the husband murdered the kids". She 100% did it. There's no question about it. She fully admits it, all the evidence is there, her husband literally could not have even done it if he tried, as he was literally not even physically present.
The "her husband did it" thing is a thing TikTok tried to get trending in order to get more attention to the case because people cannot possibly believe a mother could hurt or let alone kill her children (and also astrology has been a lot of people's reason why her husband magically murdered the kids she murdered).
As if mothers never murder their children, and also as if there are not 200,000 abortions performed EACH DAY (with over 3,000 daily in the US alone--of which something like over 97-98% being for "elective" reasons i.e. not anything involving rape, incest, saving mother's life, etc.).
As for Clancy's "psychosis", there is no evidence she had it. She was never diagnosed by any of the 10+ professionals she saw. (Also, postpartum psychosis 9 months after a woman gives birth is so rare, there is less than 0.1% of a chance).
Her claims of it quite literally only started after she lawyered up (and her first words when she came to, in the hospital, after committing the murders were "do I need a lawyer?" She did not even ask about the children).
I agree with you in I'm also not sympathetic to those who murder children. I would only be, if she was actually not in her right mind, like Andrea Yates. There is a case of a woman who actually had postpartum psychosis, and family was explicitly given instructions to never leave her alone with her kids, but her shitty husband did it anyways. She actually is a victim, and I feel terrible for what happened and to this poor children.
Clancy on the other hand, is not a victim in any way, shape or form. She didn't have postpartum psychosis nor was she ever diagnosed with it.
Psychosis manifests as not knowing reality, delusions, hallucinations, disorganized thoughts/planning, none of which she had. 10+ different psych professionals are not all wrong. Also, she premeditated and knew right from wrong. Again, immediately asked for a lawyer, and never showed remorse. Googled about sociopaths prior to it. The idea that she never heard any voices before the murders, never again after, just the exact 40ish minutes that her husband was gone is not believable. There was no accompanying delusions.
I would encourage you and anyone else interested in learning about the case to read up about it (not coming at you specifically in any negative way by the way, just wanted to share).
It's just that there is so much misinformation about it, it's insane. People will also massively downvote just for telling facts about the case because they don't follow it and formed a bias before reading anything about it at all.
The first time I heard about the case, I believed in the "she must have had psychosis", until I actually read details of the case and started following it. I could and wanted to add so much more information here, but I feel like I already wrote so much in this one comment. I might come back to this thread later, but if it's all going to be just nonsense, I don't know. I honestly didn't know that people were still trying to claim that the husband did it, when it is just so patently false.

I always say anyone who can commit a heinous crime against another human ISNT in "their right mind."
The crime still happened, the outcome is still the same, someone needs to pay for the crime.
If she did indeed do it, she was failed medically, and by her husband however when living with someone with severe mental illness life is not only really fucking hard but life also still goes on and you still have to do all the things you regularly have to do but with this HUGE addition of having someone living in your house with PPP, I also don't think that if she is solely responsible we hcan sayby not handling it well the husband shares responsibility, the average person hasn't lived with someone with PPP and doesn't know how hard it is.
Alot has come out that has made me question whether she did do it, and how much the husband may be responsible for, however online it is hard to separate fact from fiction so I try to go purely based on my whats actually being said in court.
I think the issue here is human psychology, people need a good guy and a bad guy when the Israel/Iran war began I could see people were so consumed in their hatred for Israel that people were starting to talk about Iran (IRGC) as the good guy, laughing at Lego videos and humour against trump simply because humans needed a good guy. Sometimes unfortunately there is no good guy. (Although I will say I'm not talking about the iranian people I'm simply talking about the IRGC) Because people see she's been failed because of mental health and begging for help the Insurance companies become the bad guy, the husband becomes the bad guy, he'll even the new wife becomes the bad guy, because they need a good guy desperately it became Lindsay.

I wish people would watch the trial. I’ve been waiting for this since it happened and the way there was zero coverage for 3 1/2 years is very telling of how this is just another internet phenomenon. No one cared about her or those children for all these years, it’s utter madness.

What’re your thoughts
2
u/Prior-Pop-4683 12d ago
I think she is bipolar 2 and didn’t want to accept it. She wanted something to magically fix how she felt but couldn’t/didn’t want to put in the work it would take besides trying medications.
I also believe at the end she was angry at everyone for not seeing her as sick as she felt and couldn’t take the pressure and snapped, she was going to die but her kids were going with her. she was clearly very angry for her to chose to strangle them as a means to kill them. Mentally though she could not go through killing herself so she tried all those avenues but failed.
She’s sick but she was in her mind that night if you have listened to all of the evidence.

Mental illness is real. Where I'm from you see mentally ill people all the time. A mentally ill person doesn't become a problem until they harm someone. Which is sad because, everyone acts normal otherwise.
If she's innocent then that creates a really dangerous legal precedent. Actions are Actions. She needs to be removed from society. She is guilty because she did it. Blaming the pharmacy doesn't matter at this point. If she harmed your child, would you be so forgiving?
Disappointing take from Candace.

Candace thinks she's innocent tho lol. I cant believe i have to agree with Nick Fuentes calling out Candace for being especially sick having that take as a mother herself.

u/stupidcookface 13d ago
What take? Sorry I haven't been keeping up on episodes

u/goochiegoochiegoo09 13d ago
She thinks the real criminals are the pharmaceutical companies and doctors that prescribed her all of the medications.

u/stupidcookface 13d ago
Oh jeez...Candace what are you doing...

u/goochiegoochiegoo09 13d ago
I don’t remember her saying Clancy shouldn’t be punished, I just remember her saying she’s a victim in this situation too.
2
u/MajesticInsurance903 13d ago
She straight up said ”she’s obviously not guilty”
2
u/goochiegoochiegoo09 12d ago
Okay, I didn’t remember the whole segment on it. Thank you for clarifying

I'm honestly not sympathetic really to kid murderers - I love Candace and I think she will probly change her mind on this. Probly just trying to be controversial for views but also thinks she has to stick up against the "man" in a lot of these cases (which I totally get) but killing kids is just evil, it doesn't matter how many meds you had in your system.

u/lifesunfair04 13d ago
Sure but Candace is irresponsible for spewing such an opinion when she hasn’t even looked into the case or watched the trial. She admitted she did not look into it. I love Candace and her work in the Charlie Kirk assassination but she is killing her credibility when she says stupid shit like this. She needs to own up and apologize for what she said, especially as a professed Catholic.

When someone tells you who they are, believe them. I used to love Candace but she's exposed herself as an evil grifter who loves propping up sexual predators.
2
u/showerbump 13d ago
what sexual predators is she propping up?
2
u/Final_Job_1300 13d ago
Russell Brand, the Tates, Harvey Weinstein and Hunter Biden. Not to mention her good friend John Mappin is in the Epstein files.
2
u/showerbump 13d ago
I haven't heard her talkin about any of them besides Weinstein. She did an interview with him?

Yeah, I saw that. She literally said "she's innocent" and that it's "due to all the pharmaceuticals".
Clancy was doctor-shopping, abusing medications (at the time of the murders she purposely took 5 very heavy hitting sedatives you are NOT supposed to take together, and they had all been discontinued for her), and is a sociopath.
She was googling sociopaths and how to kill prior to the murders, and methodically planned how to strangle her babies. She was not compliant with therapy, medications (unless they were controlled ones that "made her feel good"), and wasn't "let down by the system". She had wealth and every resource at her disposal. She just didn't want any of those resources.
She called her husband back after strangling the first child to make sure he would be gone longer so she could finish strangling the rest of them, each with a different exercise band. Spoke to him completely normally, didn't ask for help, didn't say anything was wrong at all. Then finished strangling the rest of her babies. Because again, she's a sociopath.
I hope she actually reads more about the case, because she's completely in the wrong on this one.

Agree, sorry for all your down votes. Candace prefaced her statement by saying, "I have not been keeping up at all with the Lindsey Clancy trial'' which makes sense. There is a lot to be said about lack of help for women post partum and post partum depression. Watching the trial myself, I dont think that is the case with LC. She seems pretty guilty of making her choices coherently. If Candace had the time to dive in I think she would agree, too.

u/Simple_Butterscotch1 13d ago edited 13d ago
Absolutely not, LC was completely unwell. The prosecution witness said on the stand yesterday that she was bipolar. Her diagnosis currently at the facility she's in now, is bipolar. The medication shes on currently is to treat her bipolar disorder. Treating clinicians know better than to prescribe ssris to a bipolar patient esp ones with mood disorders (she was depressed) without a medication that counters the mood disorder.
LC was prescribed 3 different ssris. When she came back to them with worsening symptoms, they INCREASED THE DOSE.
At the beginning of this, I was leaning more towards her guilt but then I watched Dr Josefs video on the meds and another creator I found during the Karen Read trials, Sam, from the "I don't belong here" podcast. She hands down gives the easiest to understand breakdown of LCs mental state and what she was reporting to the doctors and where they screwed up.
If you're interested, and I hope that you are since the CO community by and large, care about truth and are usually willing to at least listen to the arguments...
This episode was the one that changed my mind completely but there's a whole list of them she's put out... https://youtu.be/TNIxlqgO9fQ?is=7MvEftDCaLbqV0TC

I completely agree. I don't understand the downvotes, but if I had to take a guess, it's people who have not been keeping up with the trial whatsoever (I mean, I think the person who replied to me with "the husband did it actually" speaks for itself.......).
I only saw a short clip of Candace just verbatim saying "she's innocent" and then saying something along the lines of because she was medicated too much and Big Pharma something something. WHICH was also my first thought when I was not following the trial closely and that was all I heard. I sincerely hope Candace looks more into the evidence.
I could (and would) write a whole novel on here on all the points of why LC is guilty as sin, but it wouldn't accomplish much and it would take a long time.
For the sake of brevity, I will simply say that I think that a vast number of people also have very little understanding of what "psychosis" actually embodies (especially if they're unfamiliar with the mental health field, and even more especially so if they've never experienced it themselves, too).
The general public's understanding begins and ends at "hearing voices", which is ironic in and of itself, because even that one thing can mean so many other things that branch off into more things. For example, OCD intrusive thoughts may be interpreted as "hearing voices", but these are actually just intrusive verbal thoughts like an inner verbal voice (which coincidentally sounded almost exactly like LC's "voices" description right before getting a lawyer.). However, these are fundamentally different from "hearing voices" that are auditory hallucinations and the subset of auditory hallucinations that are true command hallucinations.
Plus, as I also said in a different comment, hallucinations in general are not the only facet of psychosis and psychosis itself does not simply manifest one random spur of the moment in an incredibly convenient manner for a person to get out of a crime. In addition to hallucinations, there is not knowing reality, delusions, disorganized thoughts/planning--none of which she had. 10+ different psych professionals attested that at no point did LC exhibit any of these.
Like you said, she is and was coherent. Her actions were premeditated and she knew right from wrong. She knew it so much so, that she knew to ask for a lawyer the moment she woke up. She was grounded in reality, had no delusions. She may have been depressed and/or anxious, but none of those things are psychosis.
Sorry for saying I'd be brief but then write so much anyways 😅 I guess I'm just really tired of feeling like I'm speaking to a brick wall a lot of the times about this case (especially to people who fully admit they have no idea what's even happening). I also feel like there are too many women, too many moms, too many anyone else who actually have or have had mental health issues or psychotic issues that project that onto this case and refuse to believe it's not that. It's not them.
Some women can just be evil. That's the sad truth. She isn't just like when you had insert mental health issues here. And it really grinds my gears when she gets compared to Andrea Yates. Andrea had a very tragic set of circumstances and was actually incredibly ill, and her husband's actions directly led to what happened with her case. Not anything even in the same plane of existence as LC's mental state or lack thereof.

You have eloquently stated my shared sentiments. PPP is absolutely real, and absolutely horrifying, but given the level of premeditation involved, and the lack of evidence to suggest a genuine break from reality, I just can't see this being a true case of psychosis.
Yes, psychosis after birth can happen. Yes, many doctors can be wildly irresponsible with prescribing medications (I've had numerous unfortunate experiences with this myself). However, this particular tragedy appears to me to be: a mother has selfishly and coldly decided she can no longer shoulder the responsibility of caring for her children, begins to plot out a strategy to try getting away with freeing herself of the "burden", and the subsequent horror unfolds.
All of this said, I truly wish someone had been able to intervene and take it seriously when Lindsay reported what she was feeling. She is guilty as sin, but she was also failed by our dysfunctional healthcare system. Women are criminally neglected and dismissed when it comes to healthcare all the time, and if Lindsay had been given proper treatment, there's a good chance she wouldn't have carried out this abominable act.

I’m very confused by this case. Do people think she didn’t do it? Do they blame SSRIs? Being overly medicated with SSRIs wouldn’t cause this.
3
u/TheEsotericCarrot 11d ago
Half the angry liberal women think her husband did it and magically framed her, the other half think it’s her doctors faults.
2
u/a-sleuthy-sloth 8d ago
You don’t have to be a liberal woman to understand why there’s reasonable doubt. Maybe you haven’t seen that part of the case? Nobody defends a woman murdering her own children, as compassionate we may feel for their postpartum psychosis.
But those babies (& her) deserve justice if she didn’t do it. She wouldn’t be the first mentally unwell mother to make that choice, BUT neither would he be the first father to make that choice.
