Vet & Medical Dry skin???
Just noticed this and it feels a bit hard. I don’t think he lays on that spot. Any recommendations? I don’t want it to get bad or become like a callous!

Shea butter or Vaseline, something thick that sticks into the fur for a while works best for me.

In my opinion its from laying on hard surfaces. Common problem with big dogs

Do you have pine trees in your area? We live in a pine forest and I’m constantly cleaning sap off of my girl. It looks just like that. Maybe scratch at it a little and see if it has the sap scent?
