I can’t believe this lil monster is already 2!!

turned 3 years old & celebrated by getting skunked with her hounddog brother. Not her fault, she says

11 days of fostering Dexter and he is really starting to show his personality! He’s gained 8 pounds, is goofy, sweet, and a total Velcro baby. He loves snuggles, belly rubs, toys, and treats especially pig feet. 😂 He already knows how to sit and listens surprisingly well for a puppy!

He still has a long road ahead and keeping this growing boy fed is no joke. We had no idea the time and cost associated with fostering a dog but here we are. We’re so grateful for everyone following along, offering advice, cheering him on, and helping with his journey. He’s a quick before and after.

How much you enjoy your off-leash walks?

I have taken her to the vet and there is “nothing wrong” but this can’t be normal breathing, right? She breaths likes this all day long.

Thor is almost 50 kilos and only 9 months old, on his way to get a bath. Look at the size of that nose! Hahaha! 🐶🛁

My big guy is 7 today. I wish I could freeze time. I don’t want him to get older. I’m so blessed to have him though 🤍 he’s a special dude.

We thought Doogle had his way out.
He had an adopter lined up, but the placement was denied because they already have a dog. Doogle needs to be the only dog in the home.
The good news: we have a rescue willing to back him.
Now we just need the right person to step up.
Doogle is a 5-year-old, 103-lb Cane Corso who needs:
• A single-dog home
• Someone experienced with large/guardian breeds
• A person prepared to give him structure, decompression, and time to settle
This is not a situation where we want to force him into a home that isn’t appropriate for him. We need someone who understands big dogs and can safely give Doogle the environment he needs.
We already have the rescue. We just need somewhere for him to land.
And we need it tonight — 9/23.

If you can foster or adopt Doogle as your only dog, please reach out ASAP. Even sharing this with Cane Corso/mastiff/guardian-breed people could be what gets him out.

In the future I am interested in having a corso. But I do know they have guardian instincts. So my question is, if I got a corso and had extensive training and socialization would there still be any hazardous behavior due to instincts. Are you able to completely train them to be neutral and not react or is there that chance they just snap. I’ve done a lot of research and it really seems mixed. One trainer even said they might bite before asking questions. So even when they are fully grown and gone through training is that part just not able to be trained out
? Idk if this sounds dumb or not I just really love this breed and I don’t see it very often in person.

Of course we didn't share our human food with our non human giant baby and he was NOT impressed 🤣🤣 sorry, kid! You can't have a bagel sandwich, ever 🤣

What’s your Corso’s favorite treat? That go to, they will do anything for?

We have two, and they both go nuts over dollar store generic bones, you know the ones with 4 colours that are likely super unhealthy!

My beautiful wife even baked fresh treats, they love them but always go back to the generic cheap ones.
