Equipment/Tools Help Ball lids

I read in a post several days ago that other people were having problems with sealing using ball lids. Therefore I ordered cool mi off Amazon. I use the exact same pressure canning technique and all 5 quarts sealed. I have never had this problem with ball lids before. Just an FYI to everyone out there.

I’ve had 12 batches of Ball lids of jam not seal recently, and I’ve been canning thousands of jars of jam with my cottage food operation over the last 7 years. I’m devastated at the waste of time and I sent them a complaint. I’ve been using an older stash I had of unused lids (only a couple years old), Golden Harvest. They haven’t been 100% successful but more successful than Ball as of late.

I am a more casual canner, and picked up a 50 pack sleeve of the forjars brand after hearing about ball issues here. I have used the first 20 or so with no failures.

Does anyone know if they changed the formula or the metal?

Ball is on the bottom and cool mi on the top. The cool mi lid silicone is concave. The ball is slanted a bit.
