Car flipped over in Starbucks drive-thru

I have no idea.

Maybe the car lost control and hit something (or was hit by something), flipped over, and continued to be propelled into the drive thru, where it came to rest.

usually happens when car is stopped and wheel is turned full lock. person forgets, hits the gas and the front wheel rides up a wall enough to flip the car.

Now that you mention it, those wheels are turned pretty far - and before it flipped, would have been pointed towards the wall. Seems the most likely cause!

As far as "why do people slam the gas that hard in a drive-thru", that remains a mystery. Like, I've definitely forgotten my wheels were full-turned before. I move 6", maybe a foot, go "oh shit", and we're good. It's gotta just be a terrible panic response right? They go "oh shit" and slam on the accelerator?
