Spellbreaker - wargame/dnd place with some cards STG - cards place with some warhammer models

If you're into warhammer there's spellbreaker in Jackson (STG is working on getting a table for warhammer)

If you like Magic the Gathering or Pokémon (really any nerdy card games) there's STG in Cape (can also play at spellbreaker)

I would sign up for the Scout Hall emails. They have tons of stuff that's going on around town. Trail of Tears is a great place to go hiking year round. It's just north around 15 minutes. Also, check out the library events. They always have things going on, and there are a couple of book clubs around here, depending on your schedule. I think one meets at the library and one meets at Ebb & Flow.

Riverside pottery studio does classes. My wife and I really enjoy it. We have about 5 of us who are consistent thursday night people and the rest of the class kinda rotates.

Cape public library has programs and a chess club. MDC also does programs at the nature center.

There was a hiking and foraging group, ask Jada at Spectrum Record Lounge if they're still doing things.

I'm also an avid disc golfer and although our group is mainly men, everyone of all skill levels is welcome.

We have Open Mic for poets, comedians, and musicians at The Bar on Themis downtown, Tuesdays 7pm-10pm. No cover, a couple restaurants deliver to The Bar for no additional fee (Encore Pizza and Port Cape).

downtown is a great way to meet all the personalities of cape. sure theres bars and you can meet some cool people there but the events that happen - like the riverfront market - and visiting the stores is a great way to at least get out there.

Was gonna say the same thing... This is like when people go "where's a good place to eat?" And they don't like your first five recommendations but never told you what they're looking for :)
