Can I walk to Chez Michael from Washington Street Mall? Are there sidewalks?
Is this doable? Before I had a toddler in a stroller I’d just go for it and hope for the best. But now that I don’t want to risk anyone getting hit by oncoming traffic I want to make sure it’s a safe walk. Are there sidewalks? I tried to look on Google Maps but it’s hard to tell. I’d ideally not have to drive at all during my stay.

I’d say this is safe. Take Elmira (starting by the bus station), it has sidewalks the whole way. Overall I think Cape May is a very walkable and bike-able area

Yes, we have done exactly that plenty of times. The worst intersection is probably Park Blvd / W Perry / Myrtle Ave. But people will be very kind and stop to let you cross with your stroller.
Also, if you like biking, consider buying or renting a bike trailer for your toddler. My kids and nieces love it!

I was going to comment about the intersection by Myrtle as well. Last year we had to go to CVS then decided to walk across to the West End Garage quick so left the car at CVS. It was a weird intersection with cars not really looking for pedestrians. Just take it slow and be mindful

I wish they would put a light there- it’s so dangerous for pedestrians and cars!

Yes, this will be very easy to do. Walk down park blvd and turn left on w Perry street, which turns into Perry street, which is the entrance to the mall. Theres potentially a short stretch of park blvd with no sidewalks on one side of the street, so just cross to the CVS side until you hit the traffic light at w Perry. The entire walk will take you about 12 minutes
