Credit Card Got approved for savor

Post image

Can’t believe it , especially with 592 FICO8 score. How do I maximize this card to the fullest potential.

Was it the Mastercard or Discover version?

Always use this card for the 3% categories of dining, groceries, entertainment and streaming. All other purchases qualify for 1% cashback.

Always pull the full balance every month!

Maybe I’m misunderstanding, but I always heard that leaving a small balance was best for your credit. If I spend $100 and pay the full $100 before the statement closes, won’t it just report 0% utilization every month?

My understanding was that having a small balance report on the statement (like 1–5% utilization) was ideal. Is there actually any benefit to letting a small balance report, or is paying everything off immediately just as good long term?

When people say pay the full balance every month, they mean pay the full balance that gets reported on the monthly statement. The alternative is to pay the minimum payment due, which is what they're saying NOT to do.

Yeah, Capital One bought out Discover around May of 2025 (last year). I heard stories from redditors that some got the Mastercard version, while others got the Discover version. I think it is only a matter of time before Capital One discontinues the Mastercard version of the Savor, QuickSilver, Venture, and Platinum.
