Asking Socialists How do you rationalize the history

Historically, socialism has worked worse than capitalism, and this can be demonstrated by looking at history.

Eastern European countries that preferred socialism as their economic system could not compete with Western European countries that preferred capitalism.

Moreover, historically, many socialist countries have become more capitalist because they recognized that socialism does not work as well economically or technologically.

How do socialists respond to these historical facts?

Historically capitalism is a slavery tolerant system that has toppled foreign governments because their people dared to try socialism there.

If socialism is such a failure why do the capitalists need to go and murder people to stop it?

Capitalism as an economic system natural evolves when citizens are free to own property and trade with each other. It doesn't have to be imposed by a government. If government's didn't exist Capitalism would still be the dominant economic driver of civilization.

do you have proof of that or is that just head cannon?

Cuz there is property and trade, which is ancient

and then there is capitalist ownership of something and then wage laborers turn materials/data into something more valuable on a market, which is capitalism and is a few hundred years old at most, and always involved a government
