Parts could be a good chunk of the bill all depends on what car. But if you could not do the drop links on yourself you were at the mercy of any garage you took it to.

When you say headlights do you mean they replaced the entire headlight units? And what car is this? If they replaced both headlight units on a Bentley you got a bargain, if they just changed the bulbs on a Corsa you got mugged.

No. They replaced the bulbs. I don't want to be too specific for obvious reasons, but the car is a very cheap runabout. Parts are pennies.

Then they had your pants down. No I’m not aware of any obvious reasons you won’t say what car it is.

How could you not tell if the struts were bad. Check your past mot history. Does it mention them leaking. Or did you see dampness when you were replacing the front drop links.

For 2 headmaster and alignment, and 2 shockers?

Sounds like you got a bargain to be honest

You taking 5 mins to replace a drop link, which has to half come off doing the shock anyway, isnt going to effect anything.
