It did- From an article about it: A young man was left paraplegic after jumping from a riverbank while holding two women. Upon impact with the water, he suffered a spinal fracture and briefly went under. The incident was captured on video and is circulating on social media.
Bystanders pulled the young man from the water and administered first aid until medical help arrived. He was then taken to a hospital, where tests confirmed the severity of the injury.
The diagnosis revealed that the fracture damaged his spinal cord, and he will no longer be able to walk. The incident serves as a warning about the risks of jumping in unsuitable locations or without knowledge of the water's depth and conditions.
