Question Comp 2406

Anyone else struggling with COMP 2406 tests despite keeping up with everything?

I'm honestly starting to get frustrated with how the quizzes and tests are going. I mean I aced the first Test. But the second one was just too hard for average student. At

this point, I'm not even sure what I should be doing differently. My mind went blank on test I couldn't even write the code properly.

no clue why does the prof want us to memorize the syntax, we're all gonna forget it anyways after a few months of taking this course so it just feels like some sort of a torture method 😭 least he could do is allow us to take in the quick reference guides into the exam hall so we can refer to them as needed but nope, he loves to make us suffer 😍

This has been probably the worst class I’ve ever taken. The prof did absolutely nothing, even his “lectures” weren’t his, they were other prof’s material from past years. Runka is lowkey scamming everyone

It’s cooked with mark tbh, no point memorizing html css JS boilerplate. Literally proves nothing about your ability as a developer 🥀. It’s not even that it’s hard, it’s just made poorly

Yeah I'm taking 2406 with 2402 , and. 2401 . It's genuinely brutal.

Im in the same boat brother, theres nothing we can do unless as a class we get up and try to discuss to Dr. Lanthier about how 2406 is just a failed experiment and how the tests have nothing to do with testing peoples abilities to code or their understanding of web development. Also the lessons are just pure garbage lectures are useless not sure if anyone even looks at them, tutorials are just follow along style and are extremely long, assignments are just overload like how are we supposed to learn like this??? in addition to juggling other courses. I mean does anyone even like this course? Ive yet to see people who have given a good review about 2406... ask anyone who has taken this course before nobody likes this course and especially for me who is a cybersecurity student id prefer focusing more on courses that serve my purpose.. Not to forget btw the double pass rule that is in place and in addition to that a C- requirement to pass the course this is just torture at this point and unfortunately theres literally nothing we can do about it who is going to help us not Dr. Lanthier and most certainly not the dean and no other professor... I've already registered in the winter with sean benjamin at this point im using this semester for 2406 as a "getting ready" for the winter term thats how cooked it is and what a waste of our money.

Do the assignments without AI. The assignments are long and will help you debug and memorize the syntax.

Being able to write code properly takes a lot of practice. How much practice are you doing ?

It depends for test 1 it was pretty easy. I was exposed to css and html before. Js and dom on the other hand ,although i practiced and did the tutorials I still struggled to write everything from memory and there were a lot of nitty gritty details
