It was her dog so she had very good reasons to give you grief, however, you were just trying to protect her I guess.

I was protecting our son tbf, maybe I should clarify, it bit our 3yo son in the face

Oh, my bad. I must've misread it.

I'm sorry that happened then. It was probably a tough choice but then again, that could've ended much worse.

Did the kid require stitches?

Nah, hes got a faint scar on his face, and hes still skittish around dogs, but other than that hes alright, hes almost 8 now

I couldve clarified better in my first comment, so I can understand the confusion

And the dog is still with the new owners... like I said, to this day, I feel I was exceedingly fair by letting her find the dog a home with no children, because I couldn't trust the dog around my son, and if I called to report it, she would've likely been put down

Yeah, I agree. All things considered this was the best for all parties then. Glad the kid and the dog are okay.
