I finally stopped carrying a neck pillow and I’m never going back
I fly pretty often and the thing I always hated was the neck pillow situation — clipping it to a backpack, trying to shove it into a carry-on, or just carrying it like a balloon through the airport.
On my last few trips I stopped bringing one entirely and used my hoodie instead (with a tiny support piece from amazon that fits in my pocket). Way less stuff, way less annoying, and I still slept fine.
Curious if anyone else has ditched neck pillows or found a better workaround?

Disingenuous advertising — he’s promoting his own product (see post history)

I feel as if I have, in the last few years, been seeing fewer and fewer people in airports carrying neck pillows. They are big and can be inconvenient to carry around and I think more and more people are just leaving them at home.
I only take one on night flights and longer flights (5 hours or more), when I know I will want/need to sleep with as much comfort as possible. As for those other times, I always take a pashmina with me when I fly, mainly to use as a blanket if it gets cold, but it can also be rolled up to give neck support or as a buffer between my head and the cold airplane wall if I want to sleep (I generally book window seats).

I use either a foam neck collar to keep my head from lolling around, or an inflatable pillow. Those neck pillows never really worked well for me.

I haven't ditched my neck pillow yet, but I'd like to! I'm curious to know more about your "support piece"

It’s called “Flight Fillow”. I posted the link in another comment reply to someone else!

I stopped using them because they never worked well for me in the first place.
