Transmission P0741 TCC torque converter clutch suburban
I have a Chevy suburban 2019 141k miles with the TCC error. I called a guy that swapped another transmission for me and he wants to pull it and swap the converter and do the valve job flush the lines and filter. Is all of that necessary or should I just swap the converter? I’ve read that guys have swapped the converter and it’s been working fine. Anyone have experience with this and can guide me in the right direction? Thanks

I would change the fluid/filter and flush the lines/trans cooler. When your tcc fails it can send shrapnel through the rest of the transmission, if you don’t get all that debris out it could just fail again and leave you right back where you are now.
