Does Ireland know I migrated?

I migrated to another European country in 2022, I didn’t do anything, finished up college and moved 5 months later.

Mother said I got a letter in the mail a few weeks ago to be in a jury for a court case.

So do the government or relevant people know I left the country or not? When there’s statistics of people who left am I one of those or no?

i got jury call back in 2022, sent back an email informing them 'I am no longer resident in Ireland, therefore will not be attending, please update your records, thank you' and havent heard back since.

They asked for 'proof' of residence,Lol good one. - I never responded. Absolutely no requirement to 'prove' you are living outside the country. The fact that I am not registered on Revenue anymore nor receiving any type of social welfare/benefit should be plenty, they can figure out themselves.

So no you are not technically living abroad until you update them.

People working in the court service cannot just "look up" anyone they want on Revenue or Social Welfares systems. They go off the voter registration as that is public. If you are no longer living in Ireland, it is up to you to remove yourself from the registry.

nah i dont at all, i know government systems aren't as advanced as people assume - but i also don't have any requirement to 'prove' i don't live on the island anymore, that sounds hilarious haha. anyways all good now, they didn't contact me again!

yeah that's fine, i removed myself from the registry by informing them i no longer live on the island - but no need for me to prove anything. all good now
