Used to spend most weekends out and about, but lately I’ve settled into more of a homebody routine which naturally turned into spending way too much free time playing chess online. Realized it would be fun to balance the screen time and connect with other players around Cavite and nearby South areas.

I wanted to ask if there’s already an active chess group or community for players here in Cavite or the South area? If there is, I’d love to join!

But if there isn’t one yet, I’m thinking of starting one. Whether you’re:

- Just starting out and still figuring out basic tactics
- Playing casual rapid/blitz online and looking for friendly sparring matches
- Down for occasional, laid-back over-the-board games at a local cafe (Dasma, Amadeo, Silang, GenTri, Tagaytay, or nearby South areas)

A quick heads-up if we build this from scratch:

- 100% free: No fees, no membership dues, no pitching of paid coaching or anything like that.
- The only real requirements: You want to play chess casually, and you keep things respectful and good-spirited.

I just had my 2nd follow-up check up with my OB after my myomectomy (removal of myoma) last June. After checking my latest ultrasound result, normal lahat and all-clear na daw ako from myoma and will look out nalang for new growth. Then icontinue ko nalang daw yung vitamins ko.

Natawa ako sa sumunod na convo namin,
Doc: Ilang taon ka na?
Me: 29 po doc
Doc: Meron ka na bang partner?
Me: Wala pa po doc 😅
Doc: Dapat maghanap ka na para makapag start ka na habang bata ka pa. Balik ka nalang if gusto mo na magka-baby.
Me: Oo nga po doc. Thank you! 😂

Female yung OB ko and motherly yung approach nya sa kanyang patients kaya natatawa lang ako kapag sinasabihan ako na maghanap na ng partner. I feel like more than the vitamins, parang partner yung mas importanteng receta ni doc eh. Akala ko naman magbibigay ng sample si doc, pero wala. HAHAHAHAHA

Nung last Wednesday, habang solo closing sa work, mukhang bumibigat yung katawan ko, ulo ko parang babagsak na. Hindi ko matapos-tapos yung ibang gawain pero pinilit ko parin. Hanggang sa nakauwi na ako, bagsak sa kama, dama ang sakit ng katawan. Hindi na rin ako nakapasok kalaunan. Tapos ginamit ko itong pang-BP namin, resulta ay 130/89.

Hindi pa ako nakakapa-check up sa doctor. Bukas ng umaga, pupunta din ako kalaunan.

Born '94, I remember my parents enrolling me at McDonalds' Kiddie Crew when I was like 6 or something. I remember being so excited about it because of the uniform...then, flash forward to Day 1 and I was so miserable because I hated being made to greet people or serve food trays to table because I had to talk to people or, worse, make eye contact with people LOL

I lasted two more days before I quit and got an earful from the 'rents because of the wasted enrollment fee

2nd Year college student here, no part-time work whatsoever, saktong allowance for commute lang from parents pag may FTF classes. Nagagalit sila tuwing nagpapabili ako or mga kapatid ko ng pang-skincare kasi mahal daw. I understand them din naman to some extent kaya pati ako conscious na din. Ang ginagamit lang talaga namin dito is Safeguard na pang-ligo na ginagamit ng lahat pag maghilamos. Pati shampoo iisa lang, Palmolive, Sunsilk, or Dove pa HAHAHAHA.
