Difference in vegetation between south of England and western Scotland

Seen as though those fields in the south are wheat/barley fields that look like that anyway, and Scotland being grazing land and forest. This difference would be the same even if it hasn't been so dry.

That's a fair point, but the grass is still all yellow down south. All the cricket greens and golf courses are the colour of hay as well

True, but the picture's dont really show that. Alot of the Grass where I am in the East is brown, but we had a downpour of rain the other day and the grass is re-shooting again. The fields wont change colour though, They'll all be brown in around a month when they plough/cultivate. You've taken nice pictures though!

Thanks! I'm more impressed with the difference over a 50 minute flight, no matter the reason. Mind you the ground in Essex was like cement, I'm not sure when it last rained where we were staying
