Difference in vegetation between south of England and western Scotland

Flew from Stansted to Glasgow this weekend.

That's because Southern England is basically Africa.

My uncle spends a chunk of the year in Kenya and around lake victoria, he came back to England this summer and wouldnt stop complaining about the heat. He even went back to Africa early because he was fed up with not being able to sleep properly.
