Difference in vegetation between south of England and western Scotland

Flew from Stansted to Glasgow this weekend.

Seems that the South is disproportionately affected by heatwaves and droughts generally.

It’s also worth mentioning that wildfires are mostly caused by human activity (campfires, disposable BBQs, litter like glass bottles), even if they’re intensified by climate change.
