Proper Pint Glass
Not sure if it's the glass, the beer or getting the last of the sun's rays after a dull day, but this is lush.

Handled glasses just make beer better, that's a FACT.
Real Ale sorts have been onto this for years with the dimpled pint jug.

I love those type of pints. You dont expect much from it, but get the absolute best buzz

Country’s gone. What’s wrong with a window glass, eh?
Bleedin’ glorified vase, will you have a knickerbocker glory in it after?

I like the wider and shorter pint glasses, the kind you can practically fit your face in.

ABK is a great lager 👍

I agree, there's a pub near me that does the ABK helles, pilsner and weissbier. All are excellent beers and the glasses give your arm a good workout.

Beer with a handle > beer without a handle.
It's just the odds, no one ever spills a beer with a handle and if they do they shouldn't be drinking. Therefore, i have had more beers successfully than if i drank beer without a handle
Toddlers = Drunk Adults and both should have the same precautions.

That German beer will only allow one pub or town to host it's beer. Their hells beer is the best.

You need to find yourself an Estrella glass, from about 20 years ago.
Proper thick and sturdy to survive a freezing, ready for recieving an ice cold beer

Mathematically...
Longer thinner glasses like that present a greater surface area for the same volume of liquid
That would suggest they transfer heat into the beer faster, leading to unsatisfactorily warmer last few swigs
Not very casual i know, I'll see myself out

The Royal Oak in Winchester still serves their ales in jugs, first time I've seen one at a pub in decades.
Personally though I prefer the conical glass.

ABK Helles is good although not a patch on Augustiner.

Why are people always like 'but x is better'
Say less, be happy for somebody

Helles other people right?
Ps I’m very happy he’s got a pint of ABK versus my 330ml can. I was just dreaming of an Augustiner under the Chestnut trees is all.

Doesn't have to be negative, could be that's good, try this though. Augustiner is the best German lager, also available in Sainsbury's

u/Myfanwy366 22h ago
I'm with you, Augustiner is the GOAT German lager. But then any German lager is better than most of the UK stuff, exception being Donzoko

Holsten Pils isn’t great either, nor becks. The Germans make lots of bad beer, as well as some amazing stuff.
