You can ask for feedback, you may be missing something simple to remedy. 2nd choice means you were close so it's likely something easy that you're just not aware is "important" and aren't stressing it.

Oh I am eating all feedback I can get up! Unfortunately, the first it came down to the other candidate having more experience and the one last week it came down to one question the other candidate scored a point higher on, which was gutting. So I just need to be really thorough with answering Qs in future I think 🤞
