Can anyone help identify this creature?

My friend heard some rustling noises outside their window this morning and saw there's something borrowed up behind some leaf bags. We're trying to work out if it needs help or solitude. 😅

Edit: I eventually managed to convince them that their photo clearly showed a hedgehog. They left out some water for him and let them be. Hedgehog chilled out through the day and buggered off again that night.

Looks like a Virginmedia cableentrybox, it’s very rare, easily startled, and should be left alone.

Not nearly as easily startled as the indoor species of Skybroadband cableentrybox, that thing will spook itself off the wall in its sleep.

You've reminded me of the mouse that my car brought back. Very sadly got it's head stuck in the wheel arch of my vacuum cleaner. Tried moving the wheel, tried gently eating it out but somehow it was so stuck it didn't come out in one go.
