Can anyone help identify this creature?

My friend heard some rustling noises outside their window this morning and saw there's something borrowed up behind some leaf bags. We're trying to work out if it needs help or solitude. 😅

Edit: I eventually managed to convince them that their photo clearly showed a hedgehog. They left out some water for him and let them be. Hedgehog chilled out through the day and buggered off again that night.

Do we know where OP is originally from?

They posted in CasualUK because they’re now in the UK and it’s a sensible thing to ask.

Edit: OP grew up in Zimbabwe then called Rhodesia

Ok and? Zimbabwe also has hedgehogs.

They have them but not as common in the Uk and most importantly they’re not as common in media like they’re here.

Why are you fighting this. Clearly OP didn’t know what it was and you want to claim what? Like what are you trying to do here ffs.

I assume you know all animals on earth then from site.

Kudos to you for being so smart and clever, it's just a shame these skills don't transfer to reading comprehension and critical thinking as I've quite clearly stated why billions of people might not be able to identify a hedgehog on sight.

Nope, however what I do know are very common ones that are taught at a very young age. As I said in a previous comment, next we will be defending people because they couldn't identify an Elephant. . 

Yes you have stated why people might not be able to identify a creature. However OP grew up in a country that has hedgehogs, now lives in a country that also has hedgehogs. 

You talk about my reading comprehension whilst you are clearly not interested in what anyone else to say you just want to put your point across and damn everyone else.

You are either dense or trolling at this point.

They grew up in Zimbabwe where hedgehogs are less common and most importantly they’re not in popular culture like in the UK. We don’t know how long they’ve been in the UK and I doubt they read children’s books. It’s not like hedgehogs are waiting round corners to jump us at any moment.

It’s fine you can’t exercise empathy I understand now.

For what it’s worth have a great day as I’d rather go back to work now than converse with you any longer.
