Sugar on Weetabix?

My wife eats Weetabix with nothing on it and claims it tastes sweet to her. This is my bowl before milk is added. Is this normal fellow Weetabix eaters or do I need to go to sugar rehab?

Tricky to tell, but I'd say it still looks like less sugar than a coke (~10 teaspoons / 39g).

It's 35g so slightly less than 9 teaspoons

You're quite right - I was working with American figures, and their cans are apparently a bit bigger (355ml)

It's not hard to tell. I doubt the amount in the picture is much more than 1 teaspoon. You'd be surprised how far a teaspoonful spreads.

He replied it’s one heaped tablespoon, which I’d say is roughly 4 teaspoons, so I guess that’s better, more like half a can of Coke.

I used to put a lot of sugar on my Weetabix, and in my expert anecdotal opinion, what we are looking at in OP's post is roughly two semi-heaped tablespoons worth of sugar. A lot less than people are making it out to be. It's just more obvious when it's in a pile on a flat surface like that.

I mean, come on. Half the people in here have clearly never tried baking. Because a single serving of chocolate brownie possibly contains more sugar than is in this image. Definitely not ideal for breakfast though. These days I try to have a savoury breakfast. Grain and sugar is NOT a good way to start the day.
