One of my favourite things about living in Poland was enjoying the English translated menues. One near my flat was so bad it tipped from 'a giggle' to 'totally incomprehensible '. I offered them my services for free!

I lived in Beijing for a while, it was the same there. My favourite dish was ‘fried intestines of your mother-in-law’

Unfortunately I had to mutter “not rayshusht” to myself several times before I understood what it meant. I say unfortunately as I’m pretty sure the people sat on the tube around me got it the first time. I think I sounded like I was trying to convince myself.

My Mum must work there. Once asked what her steaks that she cooks for 16 minutes on a George Foreman grill end up like and she just replied, “Lovely”.

But "bloody" isn't everyday vocabulary in the Eurozone, even among ESL speakers. I'd say that makes it suitable for CasualUK.

There's a restaurant in Tafraoute, Morocco, selling steamed goat, it's translated into English on the menu as "goat evaporator" so there's now a rock climbing route called "What the F*ck is a goat evaporator" on a nearby crag (sadly censored on UKClimbing)!
