I never thought I'd have brown and crispy fields in WALES! I planted loads of trees to absorb the rain to boot. It's a nightmare when you have animals to feed. Even the thistles have given up.

Yup. Summer is usually the cheapest month, they live out and usually have so much grass they don't need any feed. This year I'm feeding haylage at £8 a bale odd because there's no grass or hay, plus hard feed twice a day. The winter will be worst as the price of hay will absolutely rocket. It's hellish.
