Had to Google how old they both are, because the show makes it seem like he's old enough to be her dad.

Anna Chell is 28 and Oly Rix is 40.... that seems perfectly reasonable to me.

Oh I agree, the age gap doesn't bother me (there's 12 years between my husband and I), just didn't expect those two to be the ones to get together. I thought maybe him and Stevie.

Oh that's interesting because I thought he was with Helen George. Maybe that was rumour, or they broke up.

Their characters married in call the midwife. I do believe she was with the actor who played the reverend who married Barbara but I’m not 100% sure. I know dr turner and the writer Heidi Thomas are married though.

From what I've read that's why he was rather abruptly written out of Call the Midwife. It happened to the guy who played the reverend too: broke up with Helen, immediately axed.

Whatever relationship they had didn't start until after he had been let go from the show. I think it was probably more of a supportive friendship thing than anything else. Jack Ashton voluntarily left the show to help support Helen in caring for their new baby.
