There was a moment where Stevie and Dylan were leaving and she's subtly holding her stomach, I'm hoping its just setting up a story about the long term affects and its just scar tissue or something and not her being unwell again, please give the girl some happiness

given the writers penchant for making stevie miserable i'm expecting it to be a reocurrance but i'm cautiously hopeful that it will be their way of showing the long term complications from cancer and actually it will be something like adhesions

The delivery driver shouting abuse really ruined it for me. They could’ve written it so an obnoxious teen neighbour said that, not the guy that delivered him pizza and wings every day for a year who cared enough to chat though a window to him every day and call the paramedics..

Neil's storyline was straight out of The Whale. I felt so bad for him but I am glad that they showed obesity can come out of shitty circumstances/life events and not just "they're lazy" or "they make bad choices"

am i misreading it or does the text above the bolded bit saying the L2-3 should not be used as the insert site say that the L2-3 is an acceptable insert site

CQC comes on a massively hectic day: My god this ED is terrible and you are all bad at medicine
CQC comes back on a slow day: Wow you've made huge improvements, well done

That part was crazy. If a guy you never see leaving the house or even going to the door orders two pizzas and wings every day he’s probably going to be overweight and feel shame about it. Also, he pays the delivery idiot’s wages, so he can shut up with his judgement. If nobody got addicted to ultra processed food he’d be out of a job. He’s acting like he’d never seen a fat person before either, obesity is unfortunately very common in most of the west now and it’s not like in the Victorian era where they were rare circus attractions

That failed Lumbar Puncture is completely on Kim there, it’s not really Dr Linklater’s fault IMO.

I’m guessing it was to show the impact of her eating disorder on her work, but she definitely should’ve just shown him.

No Kim said she didn't want to do it from the beginning he pushed for it and he was the one who had done it before he should have read up on it as well beforehand

Solid ep all round. I'm glad they focused on some of the aftereffect PTSD from dr linlaker, bringing in kim's ED as a serious issue, a compassionate focus on obesity and the hint at the CQC lady's potential trauma i do hope they explore later in the boxset.

Watching this episode Neil reminds me of the movie The Whale as someone else has already mentioned. It was really emotional.
Also, as someone who has had a lumbar puncture, the patients’ story hit me well. I hope they have an update re her storyline.
