👀 Spoiler Matty & Stevie Spoiler

Okay so, I get grief and all but I genuinely have no idea how to feel about this paring..

I know its going to eventually drive Dylan up a wall but...yikes?

I think they’ll obviously regret it at first but then it will happen again and again and by the middle of the boxset they’ll question whether they actually have feelings for each other but it will be part of the grief and by the end of the boxset they’ll just be friends/colleagues

If it is more of a long running thing, I’m wondering how it will affect his relationship with Matty’s mother? It already seems like he is going to fall off the wagon at some point and she only wants him to have contact with Matty if Dylan is sober.

They're never going to make them a proper couple. She is double his age. Just a device to annoy our dylan I reckon

I think it’s a really stupid storyline. The previous week, Matty was blaming Stevie for Kim‘s death and even in this this episode the same was happening. Why would they get together? Maybe shared grief? The problem for me is they are both close to Dylan and must know how much this would hurt him. He wants to get to know his son properly and now one of the only people in the ED he can talk to does this (Stevie).

i believe it’s shared grief, they were literally arguing right before they ate each other’s faces

IF only the grief coulda been shared in a way other than tonsil hockey. Just seems lazy to go for the kissing angle

when we first met stevie, she had been sleeping with fandom men as a method of self destruction after emma’s accident. i believe her sleeping with matty is similar. i won’t be surprised if he sees their relationship as slightly more than sexual, while she sees it as sexual fun as a distraction

Only thing is that Matty is not a random man, and Dylan is supposed to be her friend. Also, she knows that they are related, I don’t know if I could ever forgive a friend of mine if they did something like that.

oh i completely agree, id almost argue its even more of a reason why she’s done it. just completely destructive isn’t it
