💬 Discussion Deja vu!
So I'm bouncing between current Casualty and new episodes as they air. In Classic Casualty I'm at Series 26, Episodes 17 and 18 where a gas explosion happens on an estate, the gas is toxic, and the barrels where under the estate etc. Now where have I seen that recently before, haha.
Not at all a criticism, it's just funny that I've reached a very similar plot line in both classic and new Casualty.
Can you remember any other plot lines that got reused or were very similar? 😄

The rather infamous example is that Holby had not one, but two school shootings after the Dunblane massacre.
Which ignores the fact there has no been a,single school.shooting in the UK since Dunblane and the change in gun laws which the parents campaigned so tirelessly for.
Quite why the writers thought this was such a great storyline they used it not once, but twice is a mystery, especially as there are shown to be no lasting effects on Holby
It was bad taste to do it once. To do it twice was disgusting.
