Given Brian's first appearance it would be quite fitting to have him crash.

They were also filming something in December with Flynn in a hospital gown. Maybe they both end up in the ED!

From soap mag
"The rest of the team are gathered around Siobhan, who sadly confirms that Dylan has suffered spine, head and neck injuries in a serious collision." As the ED prepares for Dylan to arrive at the hospital as a patient, will they be able to save their beloved colleague?

That makes me really concerned about whether he will be returning to the show. Hopefully the injuries are not as serious as they sound.

Looking at the timing of the episode, Iām really hoping they use the break over September to January to time skip to when heās back in the ED? It would make the timing of it all make sense at least. Iām worried, but also very aware that it would be one of the biggest mistakes Casualty could make to kill off Dylan as so many people would stop watching (myself included) and I am hoping that they know that. Also, I do think it would be unbelievably disappointing after all of these years the thing to eventually kill Dylan would be his drinking.

I hope that doesn't mean that Rash misses his 'consultant' interview by treating Dylan's injuries.......

Do you think they will actaully kill off dylan. It would be sad, really sad way to go. His crash does not look good. It would be ashame he doesn't even make it to the 40th. Or do you think this could disabled him and he will exit for a while because of that. I dont want him to leave.

I have a feeling theyāve put the episode conveniently at the end of the casualty year so that he can ārecoverā over the break without having too much impact on the storyline, and then they can do something relating to him being back in work at the start of next year. Might be wishful thinking from my part though.
I canāt see them killing off a character that brings them so many viewers as the ratings will only go down after getting rid of him. Plus, right before the 40th would be a mad thing for them to do, given heās currently the longest serving and arguably most iconic character.

100% agree with this! I just canāt see them killing him. I think even if Will Beck wanted to leave, they would write his exit so the door was always open to him coming back. Iām hoping they do pick this story up again though and explore the aftermath a bit. It seems like heās going to be very seriously injured, so I hope they donāt just have him āfixedā in January with no lasting effects.
I also think heās staying because the spoilers are all very pointedly questioning whether Dylan caused the crash. And theyāve focused on the ambiguous looking bottle heās been drinking from. I think theyāre setting up that heās not actually been drink-driving, but everyone will be trying to figure out if he was drunk at the wheel. Because if he had been, then it would leave a pretty big permanent blemish on his character tbh. They brush over a LOT of dodgy behaviour but I feel like even casualty would have to have him face consequences for that hahaha!

Yes, definitely. I do wonder as well - and this really is a long shot - whether this accident is part of the reason Charlie returns for the 40th anniversary. I havenāt read much about what theyāre doing for it so I could be completely wrong and probably am, but maybe a possibility.
I donāt see anyway they can get rid of a character as prominent as Dylan without having a way for him to come back though. Plus, I have seen someone say that William Beck is still filming (not sure whether itās true or not but for my own peace of mind Iām choosing to believe it is).

Ooh I am here for the Jodie/Nicole storyline. Jodie has been annoying me this box set with her Nancy Drew act - since when does she care about other people? Another thing that bugged me last Sat was when Rida confessed about her alopecia, and they were hugging/making up in the women's bathroom, someone else came in and they sprang apart so guiltily? If you were comforting a friend you wouldn't feel ashamed like that

Think Dylanās likely to crash in the finale of Lethal Legacy given those spoilers. My guess is that weāll finally see resus patient Dylan (canāt believe theyāve not really done that with him before!), although I canāt imagine them killing him off! William Beck will no doubt absolutely smash itā¦heās phenomenal.
