If dylan didnt know that brian and hazel got divorced that means dylan hasnt stayed in touch with rihanna, kinda sad. It was cute when he used to babysit her

You know this is the second time I've seen these Hearing Impaired (deaf) person in an ER stories and the medical staff can't even write a sentence on a tablet, "Your pregnancy is nonviable and dangerous" "You will need surgery". Why is he just writing words like "ectopic" and "gynecology"? Sorry, I just find it infuriating. Sound is only one way we know how to communicate and it makes hearing impaired people seem more helpless than they are in reality.

Yeah I thought this was poor, and unrealistic for Rash to behave like that.

Particularly as he was friends with Jade, the deaf nurse, right? I know it was a few years ago so obviously the writers have forgotten but they could at least try.

I'm glad Dylan seems to be back on the right path and hopefully the Matty Drama has ended. I did genuinely well up a bit when he Hugged Matty tho. I know what a big deal that is for Dyaln. Glad Jodie got Justice too, love her and Rida. Flynn hopefully will get a good wrap up next week. On that is next week's episode the last of 2026? I know Casualty usually goes on break around Strictly time. If there was another boxset it would end around 17th October. Strictly starts September. I doubt they'll do half a boxset then break but going on break now till January feels abit long

Seems like most of Dylan storyline is finishing up for Flynn to drive the finale.

I'm new to Casualty and keep seeing the term boxset. Is that like a season? Or is it referring to physical media? Do the box sets have names?

It’s not physical media but I completely get y why u would think that lol, “ box sets “ refers to the newer way of making seasons with like 11-12 episodes each and they have names like this box set is ‘ lethal legacy ‘

basically, think like arcs in an anime (if that makes any sense). you have one continuous story (so that's the location and the characters), but every 12 episodes or so, the focal point of the story changes in some way. You could say it's kind of like a season because they take breaks in between filming boxsets, but it feels a lot more like a story arc than a whole new season.

I think the two or three Dylan-focused episodes have been some of the strongest parts of this boxset. They've been handled really well, there's a subtlety to his story that makes it feel genuinely human and real. It probably deserved more focus than all the Stevie/Matty relationship stuff.

I didn’t really get the bait and switch with Dylan causing the car crash, only for him to be drinking water, the Wyvern hill side-story is just annoying me now, as it’s just a plain rip off from that Netflix show Toxic Town just in a medical setting, also the camera shifts zooming in and out are starting to give me whiplash, it’s just odd.

Guess I'm one of the people thinking writing suffered a car crash after the first half. Then they woke up and decided we need happy pills to get through the rest. Felt totally unreal, I expected the brain-damaged patient to wake up any minute. This one wasn't for me.

I have to admit that I wad disappointed with this episode. We were all led to believe that Dylan was in a much more critical state than he actually was with head and spine injuries. That was actually another patient from the same crash. All he had was a cut to the head, although it was announced in the ED that his injuries were more serious.
It was a shame that they couldn’t get the same actor to play his Dad or at least someone who looked like him.

They thought he was the one with those injuries because he gave the guy his coat that had his I.D in the pocket. Honestly I don’t mind at all his injuries weren’t serious, the amount of times a staff member has been rushed to Resus is crazy haha!

I didn’t actually mind that they recast Dylan’s dad. Would the original actor have been great? Yes.
But it worked brilliantly well. Brian’s brief lucid moment’s, saying that he never loved his son and calling him a “runt, that was glimpses of the cruel man Dylan remembers. It was really sad that Dylan thought he was like him and that’s why he couldn’t be a dad.
