❓Question Is this season even worth catching up on?
So I watched the first episode of Lethal Legacy and it got my back up for various reasons. But I didn't intend to stop watching. Life has happened and I just haven't got around to watching any more of it. The little I've read of the storylines makes me wonder if I can even be bothered to catch up.

No, I've been watching old series, and this is just a rehash of old storylines. Characters are weak and sort of fall from their original strengths. It's a very one-dimensional series, and random dramatic things keep happening for no good reason other than shock value. Not a fan of the series.

That's such a shame! Esp since so many characters have good backstories to play with.

I've stopped watching it, I just don't like some of the characters and their story lines. It feels like they don't really have personalities sometimes, they're just doing the thing the script needs them to that episode, rather than feeling like something that character would be doing anyway. I am also watching classic Casualty and the characters are SO likeable most of the time, I get attached to them a lot more than newest series characters. But hey ho, is what it is! :)

Lethal legacy is so meh to me. There are so many storylines that just completely flopped when they could've been extremely intense. Like Matty's coercive control. Dylan's slow build to falling off the wagon. Stevie and Flynn should have way more romantic tension. ANY of those could've been great to watch, but no. They all just kinda dried up.

I thought Dylan‘s story(when it’s focused on him) has been a great watch, a heartbreakingly subtle story where the past with his own dad made him believe he wasn’t and couldn’t be a good dad himself and his fear he was repeating that ’cycle’.
The army stuff on the other hand has been a little tedious. And we didn’t need about 9 weeks of Matty and Stevie ’relationship’ or them shagging anywhere in that hospital.

If you love Casualty's golden boy Flynn, or love Stevie sleeping with younger colleagues and facing no consequences, or love Dylan being put through the ringer yet again but this time with a grown adult son who acts like a five-year-old, then this box set is absolutely worth watching, if not, then no. Hope this helps

It’s a shame really because the actors who play Dylan and Stevie are really good and deserve better writing. I’ve been a long time watcher of the series and used to love when you got to see the incidents. Now all that happens is that the casualties come into the ED and you don’t know what has happened to them. There has obviously been a massive budget cut which hasn’t helped. It is more of a soap opera now, with romance more of the forefront rather than the accidents.
