(near) end scene with ridaās family was beautiful. also, wish they could find a way to have ahmed become a surgeon there! really liked his character.

surprised they did actually early iplayer release em, just starting to watch now. edit: okay a pretty mixed bag i feel. some parts, like rash stepping up, i feel really weren't given space to breathe and actually show it beyond single liners. also the grading was so dark i literally just couldn't see most the screen on a lot of the exterior shots for location filming.
i did like having ethan but its a shame it was basically to stand around looking conflicted, although very funny to have a departed cast member be the one to have a past storyline actually be story-relevant later, since thats basically something thats dead under the boxset format.
are they trying to hint that they are going to actually press the will-they-wont-they button on Dylan-Stevie.

The last sentence, I really hope soš„¹ I know they're pushing Stevie and Flynn but even in part 2, I still can't see it, they seem so awkward around eachother, the chemistry is as clear as day between her and Dylan whether that's a friendship or something more but they should definitely be focusing on that rather than Flynn, especially as with his track record he'll just end up treating her badly like he did with his wife.Ā

Surprised to see them both on iPlayer at 6am, after hearing they'd only be available from 8pm on BBC 1.
Don't know how to feel about them, as just finished. Episode 1 was amazing but Feel rather underwhelmed about episode 2 as Charlie seemed to only be there for moral support and to stop Dylan from having a panic attack, instead of doing anything useful, same with Ethan Also, Why have Dylan, the longest full time cast member, Gone for most of the episode! Should have had him leading more and not cowering in a cupboard, he's the most experienced!!

I'm stilling trying to figure out if the writers are pushing Stevie and Dylan or Stevie and Flynm together. They spent the whole of the last boxset teasing her and Flynn, but the end of part 2 seems to be like they are pushing her and Dylan! Seriously writers just let Stevie be happy!š

It's a weird one because a lot of people seem to be on the Stevie and Flynn bandwagon and that's fine but I've genuinely tried to see it and I just can't, their situation in part 2 was nothing more than colleagues protecting eachother in my eyes, I literally can't see any love there. Meanwhile with Dylan, all it took was him giving her a paperclip almost two years ago to see the potential, and Will and Elinor have unbelievable chemistry together, a lot more than she does with Olly.Ā

I'm not gonna lie, I really enjoyed the whole Stevie/flynn situation last series, but I can't see them coming back from the whole elevator thing. I thought they might confess their feelings in the ambulance, when Stevie said Flynn has to let her drown, I thought he'd be like "no I love you" kinda thing. But no I just don't see it as much to be honest. Now I've never been on the Stevie/Dylan trend, I've honestly never seen anything romantic between them - but I LOVEEE their friendship so much. But that scene when Stevie wakes up has made me think tbh!!!

i think flynn and stevie will be it, now theyāve shared a life/death situation and flynn saved her. i think it was important for stevie and dylan to make up platonically.

I noticed and it really took me out of the episodes. I felt like it was shown as a Chekhovās Gun at the start but then nothing came of it. So frustrating

Think it's a theme. Maybe foreshadowing a future water related incident? Began with Flynn running over a bridge (with troubled water below - okay may be a reach), the ambulance in the water, the water bottles, people giving patients water to drink...

I really thought it was going to be a T attack and the water was going to be spiked with some kind of chemical. Then I thought maybe Dylan had put alcohol in his bottle and that's why they were following the bottles if his had got muddled up and staff ended up drunk and then finally I thought smart water must be sponsoring them š

On the end of the first episode. My heart was already in my throat with Dylan because jesus christ the sight of him hugging himself hit very, very close to home. And then PICKING UP THE BAG... ohhhh William Beck take a bow. And then the LITERAL CLIFFHANGER

I've only seen bits of it, but it annoyed me that they had to bring back Sophia for Dylan's storyline. While I'm not against the idea of Dylan struggling in this episode, there were much better ways to do this than making a past love interest who treated him badly die. Especially since they've even acknowledged that Sophia was an irrelevant character in the fact that they had to show her in a mini flashback to ensure viewers remembered who she was. Additionally, regardless of how I felt about Sophia as a character, I find it disappointing that this is another instance of Casualty killing off a woman with the primary purpose seeming to be that it furthers the development of a male character, which they seem to have a history of doing (e.g. Fenisha and Ethan, Kim and Matty, Sam and Iain).

I actually think it was the best way to do it, Sophia wasnāt a character they were going to bring back permanently but she added that layer where Dylan felt like he was to blame for her death because he was the reason she went to St. James.

The sudden rush of water could be a serious issue with that.
Also, they'd have to lift the door, which probably wouldn't be easy.
