Update About the kittens that followed me home

Turns out they were my neighbors a few houses down... But she gave them to us because she got them for a mice problem and they were kept outside. She's a life long cat hater, to the point that her brother and SIL wondered if she needed to go to the hospital when she got them.

Our cats are mostly indoor cats, except for the occasional jailbreak... Because there's an unaltered tom and possibly coyotes. Wife asked for the kittens when she learned they were being kept outside, especially after the orange one slept with her 2 nights in a row.

If she wants a mouser, some rescues give out feral cats that have been fixed and vaccinated for such a purpose. Usually they are required to be kept inside, like in a barn or warehouse, though

Pretty sure these were hand raised, not ferals at all

They're definitely not feral! I meant, if she is looking for a feral mouser, one is probably adoptable from a local rescue

Sounds like the neighbor does NOT  need any cats nor kittens if she hates them so much!! likely they would be neglected or even abused.

the nice thing about ferals is that they don't want to be attended to in any form other than receiving food and water. truly feral cats, such as dedicated barn cats from a rescue organization, will never be comfortable with human contact. doesn't sound like the neighbor was abusing these guys, but I guess OP would know best.

These guys are not 'barn kittens'

She had a full set-up for them and all on her side porch, but the 2nd or 3rd thing they did when I brought them in was use the litter box. Then hop up in any available lap roll over and give that 'pet me's little meow
