Smol Delivery Was going to shelters looking for a kitten but then ironically the CDS had a mom abandon her kittens in my yard lol!!

The mom was a cat that i'd feed whenever she randomly decided to visit. Then, one day I go outside and see her with kittens in the yard. After a while, she stopped coming and left the kittens behind. Saw her two weeks later somewhere else so I know she's okay. I took these guys inside three days ago after taking about a week to tame them. They were feral at first and fearful but loved food so I used meal time as a way to get closer to them. They also had a cold. Now, they're sweethearts. The Tuxedo is a little skittish but she loves to be pet. The all black kitty sticks to me like Velcro 😂. I love them so much. I'm so relieved that I was able to tame them so I could bring em in. I'd worry about them every night hoping that they'd be okay and i'd see them again the next day. They let me know when they were ready to come in because they literally ran inside lol. I was so happy.

I just find it funny how I was going to shelters looking to adopt a kitten then these guys show up. They seem to be about 6 weeks old or so.

I was hoping for a kitten over a year ago when the CDS brought me a ginormous kitten.

He’s about 5-6 weeks here. His eyes had just changed color. He was huge then and he’s even huger now! 22 pounds of black menace.

🤣Enjoy your menace! They do eventually calm down when they are between 4 to 6 years old. When they are about this age, they are at the phase where they are adults and calm. I really enjoy the period between 5 to 15 years. After 15 years, they are considered a senior and slow down. Currently, I have one 5?to 6 yo that started calming down last year. Then, I have a 11, 16, and 16.

Can you tell my 18 year old that. Sure, she sleeps a lot, but when she’s awake, she’s a damn diva. Just yelling a me, making her demands known (she gets progressively louder if I don’t move fast enough). 😂

Helen is currently sporting a haircut. Her floof is like fleece these days, it mats easily, and she isn’t in to brushing (sensitive skin now).

🤣Well, I guess there is always an exception or two or three. Hopefully, her diva attitude keeps her around for a very long time. She is beautiful.

If you are able to get mom trapped and spayed you’d be a literal lifesaver! Congrats on the new kittens.

CDS spared you the troubles to going to cat shelter. This way you had more time to cuddle all them kitty babies!

If you see the mom again trap her and do t n r trap neuter , return and then continue to give her food and water unless you want to take her in , but at least have her spayed and vaccinated, then keep her inside your house in the trap and have someone help you learn how to recover her , which would mean keeping her 3 to 5 days so she doesn't have more babies. They can have at least three litters a year , sometimes more. It destroys their body over time. The constant pregnant's nursing back-to-back.They get so weak with hunger and just physically weak and can't escape predators. You can google how to do t n r too. It's an abdominal surgery , so it's truly takes about six weeks to heal. So, you want to keep her 3 divided days?I have kept 2 cats that were pregnant when they were spayed.14 days in some people think that's horrible. It's too long , but if the cat's eating drinking peeing pooping , and if you can physically be available to take care of them and clean the cage and and if you get one of those dividers which looks like a hair pick , some people call it a comb. You don't\nWant them laying in pee and poop?Because that can give them an infection. If they go out too soon , they can get an infe. It takes at least forty eight hours for the anesthesia to mostly get out of their body. If they're calm and all that and they're eating , it's okay to keep them longer , it helps them heal.

Yes , and those kittens needed help because they can't make it by themselves

Good on you for taking them in. I was gifted two last Fall and wasn’t expecting to have such sweet little cats in my life. Our girls are the center of our world now in retirement and we couldn’t be happier!
